Job Description

As an Assistant Manager, you will report to the Manager of Merchandise Business strategy while supporting the EVP / SVPs of Merchandising in defining and developing merchandising strategies

Key Responsibilities:

• Strategic Business Planning and forecasting for the merchandising community
• Support the merchandising teams in internal processes : Strategic Plans, Board of Director meetings, Budgets and ad-hoc requests
• Manage end to end Capital expenditure projects for merchandising (Business development, major renovations, store initiatives) with hands on coordination with senior executives and business partners
• Prepare business reviews and commercial pitches to support the merchandising community
• Carry out market research and synthesize insights to enrich the entity’s knowledge of the industry and its competitors
• Develop and implement new reporting toolbox standards within merchandising
• Build financial models, striving for automation and simplicity in outputs
• Attend cross-functional meetings with a wide range of internal functions (Marketing, Store Design, Market Managing Directors) and outline key outcomes

Key Requirements:

• Open minded and a people person, able to engage and build relationships with varying levels of seniority
• Confident with strong presentation skills
• Curious and able to deal with ambiguity while multi-tasking across varying types of topics
• Passionate about working with numbers and able to drive key take-aways from insights and data
• Competent with Microsoft Office, especially Power BI / Excel / Teams / PowerPoint
• Experience in working with large amounts of data
• 2-3 years of experience in Strategic Consulting / FP&A on a regional/global scale
