Job Description

The role of Product Support Assistant is to provide assistance to the Store Operations team in managing the many and varied components that are essential behind the scenes for the smooth operation of the store. A core responsibility of the Product Support Assistant role will be in managing all stock handling operations & matters- from the start of stock receipt through to appropriate replenishment to the sales floor for all product and sales related supplies for general store usage. The role will also be required to process reverse logistics, defective and damaged goods as required from time to time.

Key Responsibilities:
Stock Handling  Perform stock receiving from DFS Distribution Center or local Direct Store Delivery, ensure accuracy of checking in/booking in of inventory, adhering to internal SOP/ requirements on turnaround time  Perform regular replenishment of product to the sales floor, adhering to internal SOP on appropriate replenishment times  Process all Reverse Logistics – Process Return to Vendor, Inter-Division Transfer, Location-to-Location Transfer and other Third Party Transfers as necessary in partnership with the Logistics team  Rotate product in accordance with rotation guidelines and ensuring FIFO for consumable items  Assist to ensure damaged goods processing and destruction of merchandise are carried out in line with internal policies and external Customs Regulations  Consolidate defective goods from sales floors relevant update to defective tools by the respective party General Operation & Administration  In-charge of the organization and maintenance of all Bond and Back of House in partnership with the department Product Sales Manager/ Team Lead; ensure appropriate & efficient stock room including clear labeling of shelves and boxes and safe access within such spaces  Assist in the replenishment of sales supplies to the sale floor including shopping bags, register rolls and other supplies  Coordinate all local repairs with the respective local repair center for both product as well as customer repairs. This will include the pick up from the sales floor and liaison with clients for repair charges (if applicable) and delivery back to the sales floor upon completion.  Print Price Change Notification (PCN) report, print & replace relevant price tag for affected merchandise in the bond and prepare tags for sales team to execute for product on the sales floor  Assist in the local delivery of goods to Loyal T clients and in event setup as required Systems and Procedures  Comply with company policy, internal procedures and Customs regulations  Actively support and comply with all health and safety policy, procedures and regulations  Adhere to company dress standards, including care of uniforms and wearing of name badge  Uphold the highest standards of personal grooming and presentation at all times Occupational Health & Safety  Comply with DFS’ Occupational Health & Safety Policy and procedures  Take reasonable care to act and behave in a manner that promotes care and diligence to oneself and others in the workplace  Comply with reasonable instructions from any supervisor or authorized representative of the company concerning health and safety matters  Attend OHS training as required and actively participate in Emergency Response procedures  Participate in identifying, assessing and controlling risks and hazards in the workplace  Report any accident/injury/hazard in the workplace to manager or the site OHS Representative using the DFS’ systems and the logbook

Key Requirements:

• Secondary School, High School or equivalent
• 1-2 years in logistics or related industry
• Full clearance from Australia Border Force and Australian Federal Police as required under the Customs Act for work in a bonded facility
• Able to perform repetitive assemble and loading work in a fast-paced work environment
• Able to perform defined physical activities (lifting, bending, carrying, pushing, pulling, etc.) in a timely manner
• Lifting of objects up to 20kg occasionally, and/or up to 10kg frequently.
• Able to work flexible hours and shifts, including weekends and holidays as required by the needs of the business
