The Associate Manager, Digital Merchandising will lead and drive our Digital Strategy in our evolving Merchandising Department. They will make important decisions and be responsible for developing and managing the category / department strategy, as well as vendor relations. They will also look after specific digital projects to maximise sales across regions in the category, while helping to drive data-driven decision making both internally and in partnership with our vendors. They will report to the Senior Vice President of the category and work in close collaboration with the Vice President, Project Rubik, also working closely with Planning, Marketing, RTR, Data and IT.

Key Responsibilities:
Category and Assortment Strategy
• Lead the Merchandise team in executing the assortment strategy across all digital channels.
• Ensure a true omni-channel experience by extending our offline assortment to online.
• Support local markets and divisions in their digital efforts which are in addition to our global approach to Reimagining Travel Retail.
• Supporting both regional and global digital efforts within the pillar in close communication with digital partners to ensure smooth delivery of specific projects.
• Develop and support digital selling tools for the category which move beyond our current, physical offering.
• Actively participate in all digital projects that are relevant to Merchandising or the category.
• Drive access to data-driven decision making for our internal teams and commercial partners, ensuring the right data is available as appropriate.
• Liaise with internal stakeholders such as Marketing, RTR, Data, IT and all other departments driving our push to digital.
• Monitor sales performance and all relevant online KPIs such as page views, click through rates and conversion for the category as well as newly developed products, determine further sales opportunities based on results.
• Determine seasonal transition and appropriate promotional strategies.
• Evaluate online sales performance regularly with Merchandising pillar leads, brand partners, planning teams, divisions and the distribution merchandising team, providing analysis and corrective action where required.
• Interpret spending trends of online consumers around the world based on digital sales.
• Communicate and explain our digital efforts to the larger Merchandising group.

• Supporting the Merchandising pillar lead with data and forecasts for them to set realistic but challenging objectives and targets for online sales within the pillar.
• Identify and evaluate sales opportunities at the pillar level. People Development

Key Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree or above
• Minimum 3 years’ merchandising or digital experience
• Have financial and analytical experience
• Experience in the luxury market and international business preferred
• Internationally mobile for career advancement opportunities, likely to Hong Kong or other major Asia-Pacific cities
• Strong interpersonal skills, able to work well with personnel at various levels
• Solid communication skills, comfortable in making high level presentations
• Proficient in both spoken and written English
