Job Description

Responsible for activities relevant to all aspects of tax accounting and reporting. He/She will manage and plan the tax accounting and reporting activities to ensure reliable enterprise-wide financial and tax data. The candidate will have the ability to work in a dynamic and global tax team atmosphere as well as interact closely with Global Finance teams to effectively leverage technology and other resources.

Key Responsibilities:

• Accounting for Income Taxes: - Manage forecasts of global income tax provision based on Group GAAP and/or local statutory reporting rules where necessary, including accounting for uncertain tax positions, impairment of deferred tax assets, return to provision reconciliation and other tax accounting requirements. - Provide insight and trends around Effective Tax Rate projections, income tax accounts rationalization, etc - Lead processes to analyse and reconcile all relevant income tax accounts, including income tax footnote disclosure - Forecasts of group cash taxes, including rationalization, periodic impact, etc for efficient tax cashflow management. - Manage the accounting policy for income taxes, tax policy implementation to be in consultation with Group Reporting team - Manage reporting and timely communication with key internal and external stakeholders e.g. senior management, external auditor, shareholders, etc. - Work closely with DFS tax members to evaluate impact of changes e.g. tax laws, tax rates, business operations, on the Group’s tax provision position
• Establish processes and tech tools necessary to align with the tax accounting policy e.g. BPC or other software tools use for accounting for income taxes
• In house technical SME for all aspects of accounting for income taxes e.g. assess how DFS initiatives will be treated for tax accounting purposes, ongoing training for DFS tax members and other team members in accounting for income taxes, etc.
• Primary liaison with various departments in DFS for tax accounting and reporting matters e.g. finance controllers, FP&A, etc.

Key Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree focused in Accounting, CPA Preferred
• Experience with local and/or multinational consolidated tax accounting, tax returns
• Confident communication skills with an effective style to reach various stakeholders regarding accounting for income tax results, reconciliations, trends and insights
• Experience with database reporting and analytic tools, ERP systems (e.g., SAP, BPC, Power BI)
• Well organized, detail-oriented and proactive
• Ability to work both independently and as a team player in a dynamic environment
• Experience with "Big 4" or comparable industry experience is a plus
