Key Responsibilities:
Key Responsibilities: 1. Sales & Marketing
• Implement marketing strategies for PRC market which contribute to the store visit penetration, spending and profit performance
• Identify and report on business opportunities and maximise new business development opportunities
• Provide business updates, revisions and modifications to sales plan and sharing with stakeholders as and when required
• Establish sales and marketing commission and incentive schemes which drive visits and spending. Conduct regular review of its effectiveness with the view to revise/modify if necessary.
• Understand the PRC cycle, tour groups, travel agents and retail/other industry situations and have up to date knowledge of competitors’ activities 2. Relationships
• Develop and maintain the Company’s relationship with key business partners e.g. travel agents, tour guides, airlines, and other related authorities (government and non-government)/ professional organizations etc.
• Conducting regular reviews of support given to the Company from the customers and travel industry and identify new avenues to build key relationships
• Effectively partner with stores and other internal customers to enhance the customer experience 3. Team Management
• Coach, train, inform, and motivate team to meet or exceed budgeted sales targets
• Provide supportive team leadership to encourage personal development of team members, actively contributing succession planning and motivation levels in store
• Prepare and deliver employee performance reviews/appraisals
• Formulate development plans for team members, identifying coaching and training opportunities and succession in consultation with Director, TIM PRC and human resources
• Counsel and discipline employees if appropriate to maintain standards, in accordance with HR procedures and with the support of senior management
• Participate in the recruitment process and interviews for new sales team members as appropriate 4. General
• Actively promote the DFS brand and a strong positive professional image at all times
• Manage team compliance with all company policies and procedures, relevant government and trading laws, raising any concerns or issues when necessary
• Carry out other duties and responsibilities assigned from time to time

Key Requirements:

• Education: Bachelor Degree in Management or Business or Marketing
• Critical Skills: Bilingual with high fluency in English
• Work experience: 3+ years’ sales or business development experience required. Leadership experience in travel retail, airlines, hotels, cruises, MICE highly desired
• Other Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
•Driven with high focus on results
•Good understanding of PRC culture and spending behaviours
•Strong interpersonal skills and able to establish good relationships with business partners and internal customers
•Strong communication skills, both oral and written and be comfortable in making presentations
•Strong negotiating skills
•Ability to work under pressure and composed at all times
•Accuracy and attention to details
• Proficient in using MS tools, including Excel, Word & Powerpoint
