Job Description

Reporting to the Finance Director, Global Stores, you will be part of an integral team in monitoring and analysing store expenditures and management of the capital expenditure request for the global store operation. You will assist the Director to centrally manage all financial planning and analysis activities for the business, with a primary focus on expenditure control, to improve the insights and key cost drivers from those analysis in order to drive business performance and sound decision making.

Key Responsibilities:
I) Expenditure reporting and Analysis
• focus on cost benchmarking across similar size doors and identify areas of cost saving, ensure proper KPIs are set for all controllable cost components and devise action plans with division finance leaders accordingly
• monitor the actual expenditure vs target and highlight any overspend issues to division management
• work closely with global/division HR team to review key C&B schemes for each division to ensure consistent practices and payroll efficiency
• work closely with Global leasing team on occupancy cost management, lease negotiations and scenario analysis etc II) Budget/Forecast planning
• Redefine key cost KPI for budget monitoring purpose and review the cost model by business segment (ie. Airports, T Gallerias, wholesale business)
• Set budget cost KPI target and guidelines for each division, in line with the global strategy and cost saving initiatives III) Capex Management
• Review store CER and challenge key inputs from merchandising, store design and divisions
• Track the status of each CER and ensure proper approval is obtained and streamline existing CER process
• For BD projects, review the operation model and provide financial projection and simulation relating to store costs & payroll
• Ensure the transparency of store temp expenses from store planning and share the expenditure schedule with all division finance

Key Requirements:

• University graduate in Finance or related discipline with ACA / CPA qualifications
• 8-10 years solid experience in business consulting, analysis and operational support in sizable companies; preferably in retail consumer products / fashion field
• High proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word; knowledge in SAP a plus, Power BI
• Strong analytical skills and in financial modelling
• Fluent in English with excellent presentation and communication skills
• Able to demonstrate strong commercial acumen
• Strong team player; able to work with cross-functional teams & comfortable working with diverse levels within the organization
• Pro-active approach, with a strong drive to complete tasks effectively and accurately within tight deadline
