Job Description

The Senior Manager, Consumer Marketing works directly and closely with creative/ production/media agencies, consultants, division sales and marketing partners, product merchants, business partners and landlords on effective and accurate customer proposition messages, innovative design and timely execution of such activations. By doing so, the Senior Manager, Consumer Marketing drives store traffic, increases spend, and builds brand awareness for emerging core customers as well as capitalize on existing brand awareness for potential customers to achieve division and global marketing objectives. The key mission of the role is also to prioritize and activate company global activity calendar, while developing and implementing the Division’s strategy tailored to its customer profiles and supportive to the Division’s business objectives. This role will work closely with the Division team and Marketing Centres of Excellence to drive Independent Traveller strategy.

Key Responsibilities:
Marketing - Campaigns and Activations
• Responsible for developing retail activation and lead the Division Consumer Marketing team to execute them with world-class standards, in a timely and efficient manner, and with a solid business KPI.
• Drive conceptualisation, co-ordination and timely execution of campaigns/ promotions and activations in the stores to achieve set targets and objectives
• Liaise and communicate effectively with internal/external business partners to achieve synergy and resources efficiency
• Manage effectively the relationship with external public relations/events/digital agencies and media to ensure briefs are met, KPIs are delivered and that DFS high level of luxury standard is consistently represented
• Development of effective tactical promotional offers – Gifts with Purchase (GWP), vouchers, lucky draw, etc – to drive results and enhance customer experience
• Work with store business leaders, including the travel industry marketing teams on sales targets while managing costs and expenses to ensure returns on investments are met
• Partner closely with corporate marketing/public relations/Communication teams to secure budget and resources support for effective execution and implementation
• Monitor campaign effectiveness by tracking results, generating reports to analyse results and identifying successes, learnings and opportunities for future implementations
• Plan effective communication strategies to target independent travellers, to create brand and campaign awareness, and to drive traffic
• Evaluate campaigns by tracking results, capturing high quality campaign images and videos, identifying learnings and opportunities for future implementations Partnership Development
• Reaching out to relevant partners – landlords, airlines, credit card/payment platforms, financial institutions, lifestyle partners – for opportunities to drive traffic penetration, sales conversion, loyal T signups and rewards programs
• Continue to drive such partnerships and collaboration to ensure DFS interests are priority for major brand/product launches and joint promotional concepts
• Seek new and meaningful partnership and marketing opportunities that will help drive marketing strategies
• Ensure specific Division’s responsibilities and priorities are met (e.g. Manage relationship with Changi Airport and support their priorities for roles based in Changi Airport) Digital and Social Media
• Partner and engage with Corporate Digital/Public Relations teams as well as external digital and PR agencies to achieve a high level of positive exposure for DFS brand with in-store events and brand launches/promotions
• Responsible for the management of DFS digital and social media platforms, including communication, press releases, content development, media strategy and key opinion leader engagement so as to be in line with corporate standards, where applicable Others
• Act as a Marketing leader in Division by engaging Division Operations, Visual Merchandising, Travel Industry Marketing team with company global activity calendar, as well as division marketing strategy. Act as a guardian of brand DFS, corporate guidelines and process in Division
• Build Division marketing budget plan that ties to global marketing priorities as well as Division business objectives. Ensure finance process is in compliance with company audit and procurement policies.
• Develop and maintain relationship effectively with internal/external business partners to achieve synergy and resources efficiency

Key Requirements:

• Education: Degree/Diploma in Marketing or Business
• Critical skills: Strong command of English language and articulation
• Work experience: At least 5 years of managerial experience in marketing or business development in retail, service or FMCG industries with proven digital and ecommerce experiences in driving digital / social media strategy.
