Job Description

The Senior Data Scientist will be responsible for building, expanding, and maintaining the Company’s algorithmic assets within one of the pillars of the Artificial Intelligence (AI) platform. The incumbent needs to have a strong knowledge of AI/Data Science concepts and will be responsible for building various data science models independently and providing expertise to other teammates. Working closely on a variety of business cases, the incumbent will help generate significant and recurrent returns from the algorithms in place and explore new use cases and develop new AI capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

• The data scientist will be responsible for growing the Organisation’s AI capability around optimization problems such as price, promotions, and supply chain optimizations.
• Leveraging the data assets available, the data scientist will explore new hypotheses, build deep learning algorithms and be responsible to maintain model quality over time.
• Next to managing self-developed models, the incumbent will oversee a broader group of algorithms developed by the other team members in his/her stream of work.
• The incumbent will be required to take ownership of the algorithmic structure and explain complex deep learning algorithms in layman terms to business stakeholders.
• This role will require end – to – end development of AI models, including deploying it into production.

Key Requirements:

• Masters in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or equivalent fields;
• At least 3-5 years relevant working experience;
• Passionate about data, AI, and technology;
• Team player, both internal between data scientist as external with business stakeholders;
• Excellent in communication skills and demonstrates the ability to translate complex data mechanisms into simple business structures for our business stakeholders;
• Hands on experience with: Forecasting (RNN, LTSM, Light GBM, Prophet) & optimization (Basin hopping, Non-linear constraint optimization), deploying models in production;
• Experience in using machine learning libraries such as Scikit-learn, Tensorflow, Keras, Pytorch, etc.
• Solid programming skills in SQL, Python and Java (Not mandatory)
• Strong background in building algorithms (forecasting and optimization included)
• Experience with working on Cloud platforms (AWS/Google/Azure/AliCloud)
