Job Description

We are looking for a highly creative and enthusiastic individual to join our in-house creative team, working collaboratively on a multitude of campaigns and initiatives for a global multi-brand travel retailer. The role of the Senior Content Manger is to generate and curate the content of our marketing activities (print & digital) reflecting the DFS brand positioning as “The Traveler’s Luxury Department Store”.

Key Responsibilities:

• Generate valuable, engaging content (online & offline) for our consumers (focus today: China; Japan) in terms of:
• Global & Local Campaigns
• Brands (across all categories: fashion & accessories, beauty & fragrance, watches & jewelry, wines & spirits, food & gifts)
• Events & Promotions
• Destination / Travel

• Excellent & solid copywriting background in English/Chinese (a plus)
• Produce user-focused content concepts that are multifaceted and incorporate all elements of a great consumer experience (visual and tonality) across all platforms: from print to digital content (printed material, in-store signage, website, emails, social media etc.)
• Be aware of trends and have the ability to interpret those trends into a stimulating communication with our end consumers
• Collaborate closely with the design team and copywriters to ensure the editorial concept is implemented as envisioned successfully
• Act as a service department for all marketing center of excellences: Visual Merchandising, Digital Marketing, CRM, Category Marketing, Retail Marketing, PR & Events
• Communicate internally & externally within DFS (Marketing, Merchandising, Operations) both at a corporate level as well as divisionally.
• Create a strong editorial tone of voice reflecting the company philosophy and brand positioning, while leading and developing our team of copywriters, subject-matter experts, and agencies.

Key Requirements:

• Bachelor’s university degree or equivalent
• 7–10+ years of editorial experience in a fashion-related industry
• Proven track-record, ideally with a magazine / e-commerce background in the luxury industry
• Experience working in a fast-moving entrepreneurial environment with competing deadlines and priorities
• Fluent in written and spoken English
• Spoken Mandarin/Cantonese and written Simplified/Traditional Chinese a plus
• Enthusiastic, entrepreneurial, highly-creative & curious
• Strong aesthetic taste with an understanding of luxury
• Creative: Develop strategy, ideas, presentation decks, and editorial content that resonate with the world travelling luxury consumer, while supporting sales
• Be proficient in digital & social media trends
• Detail-oriented and accurate
• Hands-on with a service mentality
• Result-oriented: Ability to prioritize and work quickly from concept creation to finished product
• Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
• Customer centric: Ability to evaluate customer feedback and adapt accordingly – “test & learn”
• Great verbal & written communication skills
• Ability to collaborate and work well within a global and culturally diverse team
