Job Description

The Logistics Assistant Manager directly handles all the operation and logistics flows in Hainan. They work closely with the DFS Partners and wider DFS Logistics team to ensure every assignment is completely well, timely and following the DFS SOPs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Responsible product flow from the warehouse to the Shop floor for all categories
• Liaises with the Distribution centers on Inbound, Outbound and assist with transport arrangements
• Assists with the delivery accuracy & reporting back stock discrepancies to the warehouse/DC
• Ensures daily order fulfilments, check of the abandoned orders and creation of daily reports
• Supports the sales team to stock up the BOH areas with the correct product and ensures no interruption to product flows
• Performs returns to vendor and warehouse for product return requests from DFS Logistics team, Vendors or Partners
• Assists with Price changes in the store and warehouse, reporting, printing and physically labelling the products
• Assists in product destruction of damage goods
• Assists to report defective or damaged product in the warehouse, BOH or store and liaises with Inventory control to ensure stock accuracy
• Organizes product repairs with relevant repair centers
• Delivery of goods to customers in line with location service and facilities offered
• Assist in distribution of DFS shopping bags and consumable items required in the store
• Assists to manage the Logistics equipment required to have a seamless product flow in the store
• Administration of invoices and supporting the Logistics Director in the management of the Logistics P&L
• Support clerical work when necessary Operations
• Optimize Customs clearance process & warehouse operations are smooth
• Ensures all warehouse transactions are properly and accurately processed. Data in systems and manually if systems are not available, are updated timely and accordingly per established policy and procedures.
• Takes measures to reduce the cycle time from port to available-for-sale and assists to work with Customs if required on Regulatory matters.
• Demonstrates continuous improvement in output and in exception and error reduction.
• Develops, maintains and updates the SOPs on a regular basis.
• Complete internal reports and participate in various projects as/when required
• Actively pursue opportunities to reduce shipping lead times and cost. Controls
• Well-versed, and compliant with Customs regulations and other governmental laws and regulations affecting DFS’s operation in the location.
• Ensures information and data from and to Partner is vetted and is accurate.
• Maintains appropriate levels of confidentiality with the Partner or with DFS Logistics providers
• Ensures supplier invoicing, and other disbursements are vetted and accurate.
• Ensure shipments are cleared as per KPI
• Ensure timely reporting of claims and accurate reporting of discrepancies

Key Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics or Supply Chain Management preferred
• 5 years’ experience in Supply Chain, Logistics or Customs Brokerage
• Fluency in English and Mandarin
• Strong competencies in, freight & warehousing, import & export or retail logistics
• Proficient in MS computer applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) intermediate required
