Job Description

To assist the Asst. Manager to manage and maintain an accurate stock level within the DC as per budgetary guidelines and in compliance to the standard operating procedures of Warehouse Management System (WMS).

To monitor all aspects of inventory flows and process and identify opportunities that will improve efficiencies and productivity.

Familiarize with Company Objectives, Logistics functions, WMS and ensure achievement of these through team management and leadership. including training, organizing, leading and controlling of the daily operations of his team.

Key Responsibilities:
• To ensure inventory management functions are carried out via WMS and other interfacing systems, as accurate and required by the WMS SOP in conjunction with MAP.
• To achieve agreed DC standards of minimizing error rate as measured against percent sales for the warehouse by year end.
• Ensure goals and objectives are set and remain focused on overall business and review progress of these on a regular basis.
• To ensure all preparation for count, cycle counts, Audit count, checking and validating of count results, are completed as per schedule set by Stock Control Manager.
• Work jointly with the DC Supervisors, shipping Coordinator and distribution team in reference to inventory issues such as shortages, overages, pilferages or incorrect stock and associated claims e.g. shipping /vendor/ child -division claims
• Provide key DC management /inventory reports via extraction, extrapolation, reconfiguration from WMS and other interfacing systems data base.
• To ensure all RL’s and OTP’s are actioned in timely manner, and in accordance with regional policies.
• Adhere to Customs rules and regulations at all times
• To achieve DC standards and KPI’s are met as agreed with Management
• To Ensure that Asst. Logistics Manger / Logistics Manager are updated daily on accomplishments, changing priorities, call outs, irregularities and concerns from both internal and external stakeholders on all areas of inventory management within the DC.
• To liaise with system support team, on all system related matters.
• Continually look for procedural enhancements that will improve efficiency and productivity within the team and the DC at large.
• Assist in other operational functions as and when requested by management
• Ensure daily system allocations, system priorities and short allocations, are processed on timely manner and in accordance with DC targets.
• Monitor and Ensure on transfers and Receipts accuracy of stocks from / to stores and other divisions.
• Process damaged goods, write off and write in in accordance with regional policy and Company procedures and to maintain a track report on defective and damages products.
• Stock requiring customs destruction is to be processed as set Customs rules and regulations at all times, and on timely manner as per the agreed schedule.
• Lost & Found report to be managed and investigated on weekly basis.
• To monitor and review items UPC’s, Trans-pack size, expiration dates on monthly basis and process adjustment as necessary.
• Errors and discrepancies to be investigated, adjusted, and communicated to the relevant locations and staff.
• All paperwork and documents are filed accurately
• Documentation is actioned within agreed time frames
• To supervise the day-to-day activities assigned by the manger to his team
• To ensure that end of day tasks, closing report, and filling of paperwork / documents are processed accurately.
• To ensure compliance and proper documentations, for all import and export shipments.
• To prepare necessary reports as per established time frame
• To carry out other reasonable tasks assigned to him by the Asst. manager / manager

Key Requirements:
• Diploma in Logistics Management and above
• At least four years' relevant experience
• Knowledge in Warehouse Management System
• Proficient in using MS - Office.
• Proficient in English
• Ability to work in a fast pace, challenging environment, and to adapt to adversity in high pressure environment.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Self-motivated, deadline oriented.
• Able to work in a team environment.
• Willing to learn and over time working.
• Must have excellent numerical skill
