Job Description

The Inventory Control Coordinator prepares and manages stock counts to maintain an accurate stock level within the store. They monitor all aspects of inventory processes and identify opportunities to improve efficiencies and productivity.

Key Responsibilities:

• Responsible for integrity of DFS inventory systems ensuring accurate merchandise costs and timely resolution of exceptions. ‌
• Responsible for timely processing of inventory transactions & accurate merchandise costs through DFS systems. ‌
• Coordinate a variety of inventory control tasks and understanding relationships between systems. ‌
• Ensure all company policies and procedures are adhered to.
• Daily processing of Direct Store Deliveries and resolution of discrepancies. ‌
• Review, maintain and process Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) shipments. ‌
• Assist in physical stock takes as needed. ‌
• Work cooperatively across functional teams to handle exceptions and accomplish goals ‌
• Processes daily inventory control adjustments. ‌
• Processes regional transfers in a timely manner. ‌
• Recommends changes to the system and procedures to improve inventory control. ‌
• Performs other reasonably related business duties as assigned by immediate supervisor and other management as required. ‌
• Comply with company policy and procedures relating to inventory management. ‌
• Periodically assist with special projects.

Key Requirements:

• Minimum High School Diploma or Secondary School
• 2-3 years inventory or stock control experience
• Strong analytical and organizational skills
• Strong Excel or Access and other Office application skills
• Leadership skills and willing to make decisions
• Critical knowledge & skills including tools, software applications, language, etc.
• Fluency in English language and other language(s) as required by location
• Strong interpersonal and written and verbal communication skills.
• Must be able to work capably under pressure and react positively to operation and people oriented situations.
• Work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Must be able to work well with other personnel at various levels and be team-oriented.
