Director, Human Resources - We are seeking a high-caliber Director, Human Resources is responsible for enhancing organizational effectiveness through leading and executing human resource strategies. To actively support the achievement of business objectives and growth of the DFS talent pool, the HRD drives the talent strategy, develops and implements initiatives to attract, retain, develop and motivate a highly talented workforce. Act as a confidant and coach to the leadership teams providing counsel on talent decisions including manpower planning, succession planning and effective utilization of talent. Administer approved Human Resources policies, practices and activities to ensure the availability and effective use of human resources. Execute and manage the compensation and benefits strategies, HR Administration, Employee engagement and legislative compliance. Act as a key change agent in supporting the business to drive our customer service and employee engagement focus.

• Design, implement and manage talent sourcing activities with the talent acquisition team to attract high caliber candidates and positively position DFS in the labor market. Manage a recruitment process that allows transfers, promotions, and relocations to be handled efficiently, responding to business needs in a timely and effective manner, including visa and work permit procurement.
• Facilitate a high-performance culture through implementing career development and succession planning systems, developing effective CSR and employee communication programs to build and maintain a healthy work environment. Maintain open door policy for all employees at all levels.
• Monitor and ensure positive employee relations in all office and store locations creating a work environment conducive to high productivity, retention and attraction of high caliber talent. Ensure a consistent talent experience throughout the employee’s career with DFS.
• Oversee the administration of performance management systems including reviews, with resultant increases and bonuses.
• Manage all Human Resources Department requirements within budgetary limitation and approval processes, identifying opportunities to maximize effectiveness and value of expenditure in the Division. Conduct periodic review of organization structures with the Managing Director and developing improvement ideas to achieve effective organization designs. Represent Human Resources in Division strategy meeting and Global Human Resources meeting.

• Advisor to and partners with the Division Management on all talent decisions including acquisition, promotions, development and placement.
• Partner with Division Management to develop staffing plans for expansion or reduction in business and any other
• actions that impact Division’s talent base.
• Advise the Division Management on the interpretation and implementation of Company policies, applicable local laws as they affect human resources decisions and actions.
• Implementing global and division policies, with consideration of local legislative and industrial relations
• context.
• Serve as the source for local, regional, and global human resources practices/legislation which provide opportunities for or impact division businesses.
• Share learning and best practices to enhance the effectiveness of Division human resources systems. Employee Relations
• Assure compliance and consistent application of policies and laws across all constituents, including appropriate documentation and timely record keeping.
• Recommend changes to policies and procedures as justified by changing and unique circumstances.
• Represent the Division in any labor related legal matters with assistance from legal counsel.
• Apply remuneration strategies in line with corporate and division philosophy and structure, in support of business goals.
• Manage process of annual appraisals, incentives, and remuneration reviews.
• Lead in all employee relations actions.
• Actively support effective payroll management and maximizing operational productivity opportunities with the Division, including staff commission and incentive schemes

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management or equivalent
• 5 to 7 years’ senior level experience in large organization with primary focus on human resources, or related business experience.
• Proficient in MS computer applications (Excel, Word, Powerpoint) required.
• Understanding and use of relevant social media tools required in the day to day management of the position (ie LinkedIn, HRIS)
• Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills
• Integrity. Able to hold sensitive and confidential materials in strict confidence
• Able to work under stringent deadlines and high pressure

• Commercial acumen. FMCG, Retail or hospitality backgrounds highly preferable
