Job Description

Reporting directly to the Finance Manager, the FP&A Manager is responsible for managing business performance and commercial segment for the Mid Pacific division with key focus on financial planning and store analysis. As part of the division finance leadership team, the FP&A Manager will be a strategic business partner in planning, controlling, and executing DFS’s finance strategies.

Key Responsibilities:
I) Financial Planning
• Responsible for overall P&L forecasts, budget and strategic planning as well as month-end landing.
• Drive the division financial reporting and performance discussions with senior management team and key business partners to achieve Sales and Profit targets.
• Perform thorough analytical review of the business performance against budget, forecasts, and pro-forma P&Ls. Identify and execute initiatives to improve profitability and operational efficiency.
• Liaise with Global FP&A teams to ensure adequate budgeting, reporting and financial controls are implemented in the division. II) Store Analysis
• Support on daily sales reporting, sales forecasting and trending. Oversee all division financial reports and analysis.
• Support operational and project decision making through analysis of financial statements, KPIs, and other financial metrics. Drive sales, margin and profitability analysis on global and division initiatives, including productivity, promotions.
• Lead the communication, education, and management of financial targets with all key business partners. Head the monthly division P&L meetings.
• Track, monitor, and analyse variances to budget and forecasts, and work with Finance Manager to develop and execute action plans for the variances. III) Strategy
• Support division strategy formulation and execution, through facilitating workshops and follow up analysis
• Partner with relevant stakeholders to analyse new projects, business opportunities and capital investments
• Develop, manage, and lead the division finance team to achieve DFS Global Finance’s vision of becoming the most effective finance organization in global retail IV) Other
• Manage a team of financial analyst(s).
• Participate in global process improvement projects when required.
• Partner with key business partners to drive commercial decisions.
• Perform any other ad hoc duties requested by the Finance Manager.

Key Requirements:
Educational Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or other business-related disciplines, or professional qualification such as CPA Work Experience 10 years solid experience in business consulting, financial planning and analysis in sizable companies; preferably in the retail / FMCG industry Licenses / Certifications - Critical knowledge & skills including tools, software applications, language, etc.
• High proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word; Knowledge in SAP, Power BI and MicroStrategy would be advantageous
• Strong business acumen, analytical skills and sound knowledge of accounting, taxation standards and relevant statutory requirements; Prior experience in financial modelling would be advantageous
• Strong working knowledge International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) or U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
• Fluent in English with excellent presentation and communication skills
• Experience in managing a team
