Job Description

The person will work with a team of other finance assistants to perform the daily operations in GL section. He/she will prepare monthly journals for closing of accounts and prepare monthly reconciliations of assigned GL scope of work and perform follow up duties on the schedules/enquiries.

Key Responsibilities:
The incumbent handles Division balance sheet reconciliations, accruals and preparation of
statutory and (or) contractual reports.
• Other responsibilities include year-end reporting, tax packages, client assistance packages and analysis/explanation of P&L trend during the monthly close process.
• Posting of journal entries and ensure completeness of monthly financial close
• Prepare balance sheet schedules for division and ensure issues are timely resolved with division
• Monitor and clear Open-Item-Managed (OIM) accounts balances
• Co-ordinate with AR on sublease billings and settlements and AP on payments.
• Provide responsive support to division and other teams in day to day operations.
• Work with and assist accountant/manager in resolving teething issues and streamline processes especially for new business.
• Upload journal entries on behalf of division local finance team
• Other ad hoc projects as assigned

Key Requirements:
•Bachelor of Accountancy/Accounting •Computer proficiency in Excel, SAP experience is an advantage
•Good communications and writing skills
•Good interpersonal skills and a team player
•Ability to meet tight deadlines
