Job Description

As the Facilities Maintenance Associate, you will help keep the highest standards of housekeeping and facility maintenance at stores. Working in a small team, you will work closely with your colleagues in executing company programs to maintain standards of sanitation, maintenance, safety. This position is based out of the DFS - Daniel K. Inouye International Airport location.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain the highest standards of housekeeping and facility maintenance in order to maximize customer experience and ensure comfort and safety
• Keep work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follow prescribed safety regulations
• Assist Management in tracking and ordering housekeeping and maintenance supplies
• Provides service at pantry and / or rest room
• Escort and supervise the performance of service providers and outsource contractors adhering to location specific security requirements and ensuring all work meets DFS specifications including completion timeframes
• Able to perform but not limited to the following: carpentry, plumbing, masonry, assist the facilities electrician, painting and janitorial
• Carry out repair work, renovation work, special event preparation
• Comply with DFS’ Occupational Health & Safety Policy and procedures; report any accident/injury/hazard in the workplace to manager or the site OHS Representative using the DFS’ systems and the logbook

Key Requirements:
Educational Requirements: Secondary school or High School diploma or technical school degree Work Experience: 2 to 3 years in commercial facilities maintenance preferred Critical knowledge & skills: Must be familiar with and use all hand tools, power tools and materials handling equipment in performing duties
• Lifting of objects up to 50 lbs. occasionally, and/or up to 30 pounds frequently and/or up to 10 pounds constantly
• Able to climb in overhead structures, work beneath machines and in close quarters performing analysis and repair work
• Regularly exposed to dust, odors, oil, fumes and noise
• Exposure to a combination of normal office type environments and store environments
