Job Description

We are seeking an exceptional Distribution Center Supervisor in our Torrance, CA facility. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years supervisory experience and 5 years warehouse experience, will also be a quality-driven professional with the talent and passion to help strengthen and grow the DFS Distribution Center. This role will supervise DFS employees and temporary service employees in reverse logistics/inventory operations. Key Responsibilities:
 Organizing all aspects of Reverse Logistics (RTV, IDT, Repairs, Destructions, etc.)  Communicating with PSM’s, Merchandisers and Planners.  Ensuring stock is received, verified, written out of stock, packed up and shipped according to guidelines set forth in the SOP, utilizing the other team members for assistance.  Train staff in the proper manner regarding the SOP’s of reverse logistic (RL) concerns.  Daily monitoring of RL’s to ensure we stay within timeframe guidelines.  Updating the Reverse Logistics log and communicating to appropriate personnel as needed.  Organization of Duty Free / Duty Paid damages – utilizing the team for assistance  Processing of paperwork to Inventory Control as appropriate  Proper receipt, storage and processing of damaged merchandise  Organizing Damages documentation for customs destruction  Communicating to proper departments the final disposition of DP/ DF Damages including supporting documents, i.e. pictures and signed verifications.  Organize the Duty Paid destruction process – set up  Maintain Inventory Integrity between WRx/MCS systems  Prepping slash report for team to research  Verifying slash report for back up verifications, i.e. histories, item details, etc.  Maintaining Slash report in shared drive  Researching of overages, shortages and missing merchandise.  Assisting team with the reconciliation of found merchandise  Inputting units back to stock using the WMS  Obtaining history for large findings for research  Prepping Inventory Reports for team to complete Bin Audits  Manage request for counts by Managers/ IC Department  Manage Putaway Team  Maintain warehouse organization  Manage Physical inventory process, including problem solving and reconciliation  Training new people in OCC (order cycle count) techniques  Prepping Weekly cycle counts sheets for the team to count  File storage maintenance  Coordinate with Regulatory Control on RL operations  Coordinate with Inventory Control on stock/inventory issues  Coordinate with managers in assignments  Troubleshoot/Mitigate any issues for DFS/Temporary staff  Perform random quality control audits  Performs safety maintenance on material handling equipment  Ensure the efficient and safe operation of material handling equipment  Maintain a clean, neat, orderly and safe work area  Maintain the security of the warehouse  Maintains proper housekeeping standards  Comply with DFS, Airport, & C-TPAT security policies and procedures  Complies with all company, US Customs and other applicable government agency regulations  Work in accordance with the department budget  Provide coverage for the other DC Supervisors as needed  Assist in all other Distribution Center functions as needed

Key Requirements:
EXPERIENCE: Prior warehouse supervisory experience required EDUCATION: College level preferred SKILLS: Good verbal and written communication skills Leadership & Organization skills Attention to detail WMS proficiency PC skills required – MS Office Suite Forklift and Order Picker certified Ability to perform multiple tasks, meet deadlines and work flexible shifts
