Job Description

DFS is embarking on transforming its retail stores into smart stores that leverage technology to delight our customers with exception products and memorable travel experience. We are looking for an IT Leader to lead a team of seasoned IT professionals across Asia North Region, that takes care of the Corporate Office, warehouse, and DFS in-store technology in Asia North stores. The ideal candidate should be a quick learner on various store business functions and operations. Have great interpersonal relationship skills with the business users and management, understand what works and what doesn’t, work with global Technology team(s) to recommend appropriate alternatives or solutions. He or she should have a good understanding of various smart store technologies e.g., high density wi-fi, mobile payments, customer analytics, etc.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead a team of regional Technology Specialists and vendors to provide technology support to Corporate Office in HK, warehouse, stores across North Asia (HK, Macau, & China) and HK Data Centre. Provide leadership, coaching, and mentorship to LBS team in North Asia division.
• Drive the implementation of the technology services during the construction for new stores such as POS, Wi-Fi, network, telephony, servers, etc.
• Lead the deployment of store technology services in Asia North. Work closely with the Global team from Singapore on Client facing and Infrastructure systems, participating in the design on new IT Services or products with respective teams, to refine their products and service offerings especially on local and regulatory requirements.
• Oversee the maintenance and support for the region. Work closely with respective application, project team(s) and cloud managed service provider to support in-store technology and operations.
• Manage the technology governance with North Asia Division management
• Ensure all store IT technical procedures (Installation, Configuration, Run books) are documented, updated and contribute to the maintenance of operational standards.
• Manage local vendors, contracts and IT budget for the region.
• Manage the Asia North technology budget.

Key Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field.
• At least 8 to 10 years of working experience with at least 3 years in managing a team, stakeholders including C-suite executives, and projects
• Must having experience in a mid to large enterprise organization dealing with B2C environments.
• Must have infrastructure as well as store/retail technologies knowledge e.g., high density Wi-Fi, POS, store traffic analytics systems, etc.
• Adaptable and able to follow through from design to implementation.
• Ability to weigh business risks versus speed of delivery and managed expectations
• Strong skills in managing business and vendor relationships.
• Experience in working with high performance teams and understand the dynamics of teamwork in a culturally diverse Global technology environment.
• Project Management skills preferred e.g., PMP, PRINCE, etc.
• Strong technical skills in two or more of the following: O365 collaboration suite of products, network, server, POS, etc.
• Knowledge of current technology industry trends.
• Strong interpersonal, relational, and collaboration skills with senior management and department heads to provide technology support services.
• Strong analytical and logical thinking skills
• Ability for multitasking and working accurately at the same time
• Excellent presentation and communication skills
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
