Job Description

Based in Singapore, the successful candidate will provide leadership and management of day-to-day operational responsibility for financial and management accounting for the group, ensuring accuracy and integrity of information. The role will also provide support and guidance to various countries.

Key Responsibilities:
Key responsibilities of the role include:
• Oversee and manage selected Country’s accounting operations, including but not limited to the preparation of financial statements, regulatory reports, concession reports, statements to joint venture partners or vendors. Ensure compliance with IFRS, corporate financial policies, and local GAAP and tax regulations.
• Supervise monthly closing activities, and work with various countries and teams to clarify or resolve issues.
• Highlight significant and unusual issues for management’s attention.
• Interface with governmental authorities, banking officials, auditors, vendors and other external parties on behalf of the Country where necessary.
• Work with various countries and Treasury team to manage cash flow forecast and funds transfers; intercompany settlements, ensuring compliance with Company policy on cash management.
• Act as Countries’ liaison with other finance departments. Provide instruction and guidance in response to operational changes initiated in the country.
• Design and implement work process set-ups in new country, aligned with group’s objectives and compliance with local tax and regulation legislations.
• Prepare various ad-hoc analyses and performs other duties as requested by Management.
• Develop staff by assigning challenging projects and areas of responsibility, providing feedback both through the formal annual review process and on a less structured basis.

OTHERS
• Supervise, train and develop subordinates/indirect reports.
• Participate in ad-hoc projects as required.
• Perform other duties as requested in a diligent and conscientious manner

Key Requirements:
Minimum 12 -15 years of finance experience, with at least three years in senior finance leadership position.
Experience in Major Public Accounting firm at a Manager/Senior Manager level plus at least 2-3 years in the commercial sector
Chartered Accountant, with a degree in accounting/finance or equivalent, with good understanding of best practices in accounting and reporting.Proved technical and leadership skills.
Experience in SAP
