Job Description

Innovate and think creatively as a finance partner for DFS Hawaii Store, Merchant, and Operation teams. Look ahead and anticipate the needs of your business. Provide strategic financial support for key initiatives and help set the future road map for the division.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Support decision making for divisional investments and resources through direct interaction with all teams across store operations, sales and merchandising, and across all levels of the organization, including senior leadership.
2. Partner with the Director of Operations and Control to provide analysis and direction, around capex investment, subleases, and operational best practice to develop a roadmap, directly impacting the DFS Hawaii’s long-term strategies.
3. Partner with the Director of Operations and Control to provide analysis and direction in development of a new sales commission system including automation in SACOMM for reconciliation of staff payment and brand billing.
4. Become an expert in store staffing and resourcing metrics design, develop and deliver insightful reporting and dashboards for DKIA and Waikiki Galleria support partners.
5. Cultivate business partnerships to develop start to finish understanding of financial and non-financial returns for divisional projects through proforma analysis of investment
6. Understand the qualitative aspects of projects, and how they can help impact the decision making process for store and merchant initiatives.
7. Assemble promotional margin/breakeven analysis to drive and support decisions related to consumer offers, and understand and communicate their impact to net revenue and margin.
8. Responsible for budgeting and reporting of division charitable giving.
9. Perform any other additional duties requested by the Director of Operations & Control and Regional Merchandising Manager of Beauty.

Key Requirements:
• Education: Bachelors Degree in Finance, Accounting, Merchandising or related field; or at least 5 years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. • Work Experience: Minimum 4 years of Finance, Accounting, Retail Store Operations or Merchandising experience. • Proficient in Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, Powerpoint) • SAP experience and MCS knowledge preferred. • Ability to compile and analyze data • Ability to multitask, meet deadlines and be detail oriented. • High degree of integrity and confidentiality with a keen sense of business/financial acumen.
• Strong interpersonal skills and be able to work well with personnel at various levels.
• Strong communication skills, both oral and written. • Team oriented. • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple deliverables with competing timelines in a fast-paced environment. • Ability to work independently and on weekends and outside of regular office hours, if required.
