Technical Development Lead

Job Description


The DFS Global Technology Team is looking for a solution architect for B2B systems of Customer Excellence with the primary responsibility to ensure the cohesiveness of the solution across our retail and marketing landscape. This candidate will have the unique opportunity to collaborate with a diverse group of stakeholders including project team, business and IT stakeholders and external IT partners to take on the business strategy and outlining the overall solution design with applicable software frameworks, development methods and tools that can support that Company strategy. This candidate should possess strong technical and analytical skills, and communication skills. The ideal candidate should be results-oriented, eager to learn and with a passion for technology.




  • Act as the key person of the product collaborating with various internal/external teams including front-end developers, back-end developers, integrations, data, BI, ERP, etc.
  • Work with Project Team, UX team and Tech Team to formulate innovative solutions within agreed timeline and budget
  • Engage in resource requirements, effort estimation, service/application design, testing, maintenance and support complex and real-time solution
  • Plan and conducting feasibility studies, technical evaluation and discussion with different system owners, internal/external teams on business-enablement solution/technology
  • Design and develop technical solutions and software architecture for any assigned projects/product and prepare documentation for application support and enhancement
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders, architects, project managers, system owners and support team to deliver a high‐quality system, on‐time and on‐budget
  • Review and evaluate existing product’s architecture, design, internal functions, and business processes to identify the area of improvement and rectify the issues or potential issues
  • Deliver cross-domain solutions / projects
  • Troubleshoot issues and provide supporting to project team and production support team


Key Requirements


  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Development or equivalent
  • More than 5 years experience in application development with solid experience in technical lead duties
  • AGILE, Scrum, PMP certifications preferred
  • Retail or travel industry business acumen
  • Possesses a positive attitude and is able to interact and collaborate with business users, technical teams and vendors
  • With wide-range programming experience and knowledge, such as ReactJS, PHP(Symphony), Java (springboot)
  • Experienced in design and support application integration with WeChat, Salesforce, Mulesoft, Apigee, ESB
  • Familiar with implementing micro-services and hand-on experiences on DevOps tools (e.g. Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins), Quality tools (e.g. SonarQube), and test automation tools
  • Experienced in using work management and collaboration tools such as Confluence, JIRA and Slack
  • Good understanding of the Chinese market is a bonus
