We are seeking an exceptional Distribution Center Supervisor in our Torrance, CA facility. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years supervisory experience and 5 years warehouse experience, will also be a quality-driven professional with the talent and passion to help strengthen and grow the DFS Distribution Center. This role will supervise DFS employees and temporary service employees in Putaway Operations. Job Description

 

  • Direct the work flow in the assigned work centers to achieve prescribed objectives
  • Achieve productivity and accuracy goals in product putaway
  • Develop work schedules that ensure adequate coverage in assigned work centers
  • Train, coach, counsel and discipline staff as necessary
  • Perform audits on units, skus, bins and/or loads to prevent errors and increase operational compliance.
  • Ensure compliance with all Company, US Customs and other applicable government agencies rules and regulations
  • Comply with DFS, Airport, and C-TPAT security policies and procedures
  • Work in accordance with the department budget
  • Troubleshoot/Mitigate any issue for DFS/Temporary staff
  • Provide coverage for the other DC Supervisors as needed
  • Assist in all other Distribution Center functions, projects, and other assignments as needed

Key Requirements

Warehouse supervisory experience preferred.

Warehouse receiving, picking, shipping or inventory/reverse logistics experience required.

Minimum of EE rating on previous review for internal candidates.
