Senior Human Resources Manager, Corporate & Global Merchandising

Job Description

The Senior Human Resources Manager serves as a key resource leading the full spectrum of Human Resources advisory to business and strives to enhance organizational effectiveness, support the achievement of business objectives and growth of the DFS talent pool.

  • Act as a business partner to provide full spectrum HR advisory and as a key contact point to business leaders and senior management on HR matters.  

  • Develop and implement human resources plan in conjunction with Global VP Human Resources, to support the strategic goals and direction and add value to the business through HR practices.

  • Provide counsel on talent decisions including manpower planning, organization and succession planning and effective utilization of talent.

  • Formulate sourcing strategies in talent acquisition and manage recruitment process that allows internal transfers and promotions, responding to business needs in a timely and effective manner.

  • A thorough review of employee relations issues to include discussion, investigation and honest feedback with managers and employees to bring to successful and timely resolution.

  • Provide coaching to managers in the effective handling of such disputes

  • Drive HR projects on talent development, engagement, retention, and employer branding. Support Learning and Development initiatives and collaborations.


Key Requirements

  • Degree holder preferably in Human Resources or Business Administration.

  • Minimum 8 years HR experience in sizeable multi-national corporate with a minimum of 4 years on a business partner /managerial level. 

  • Prior experience in talent development, compensation & benefits will be a plus.

  • Sound communicating and interpersonal skills. Able to deal with stakeholders at all levels and handle ambiguity/change.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint; experience with Success Factor, SAP HR a plus.

  • Good command in both written and spoken English.

  • Well-versed in Employment Ordinance and other Human Resources related regulations.

  • Strong analytical and presentation skills.
