Sr Analyst, Finance

What you'll be doing?

The role will provide key strategic finance support to senior leadership in DFS and acts as business partner with senior management, aiming to standardize and streamline all key financial reporting and analysis of the Oceania and Middle East regions, and to improve the business insights of those analysis to drive business performance and sound decision making.

The position also plays a key role in setting financial goals for store management to improve the shop profit including sales KPI, shop payroll ratio, and other shop expenses.

Financial Management

  • Anticipate and be proactive in providing decision support and analysis for the management team.  Identify and define issues, evaluate possible solutions, develop recommendations and supporting analyses to facilitate timely management decisions
  • Full understanding of financials KPIs - sales, pax, conversion, spend etc.; support on sales forecast, budget and strategic planning processes
  • Month-end close process and reporting to management and other key stakeholders
  • Deep dive to understand variances vs budget/forecast and drive action plans to manage financial target
  • Budget/forecast planning execution and presentation of budget targets and guidelines for the business, which are line with the global strategy and initiatives
  • Develop one’s business acumen to support operational needs, understanding key business drivers to rationalize business trends and strategies impacting the financial performance of the division


Business Process Improvements

  • Streamline financial processes to improve the quality of deliverables with key stakeholders
  • Process review within internal and cross function teams for best practices and standardization through partnership with Operations and Commercial Finance teams


Business Development/Special Projects

  • Work closely with the Operations and Global business development teams to support any financial analysis and review the potential set-up of the business and operation model for new BD projects
  • Provide business scenario simulations that yield to business decision in the best interest of the Company


Talent Development

  • Provide development and coaching to the team members and promote knowledge sharing
  • Proactive seeks out learning opportunities

Ideal Candidate

  • College or University Degree in Business, Finance or related discipline.  
  • >5 years of progressive financial & operating experience.  
  • Prior store operations experience in a significant financial / control position will have advantage 
  •  Possess budgeting / operations analysis, business case analysis of capital expenditure, and strong planning skills.
