Specialist, Human Resources

What you'll be doing?

The Human Resources Specialist is responsible for providing Human Resources support to the Corporate and Global Merchandising function. This position will report directly to Assistant Human Resources Manager/Human Resources Manager and work closely with the business partners to provide full spectrum of HR management and professional HR advisory services to designated clients. 

Provide support on day-to-day HR operations to all employees under the Corporate and Global Merchandising function 

  • On-boarding/off-boarding arrangement  
  • Preparation of salary proposal/offer  
  • Provide support on performance management and salary review  
  • Preparation of correspondence for all employment-related matters  
  • Provide support on administrative duties such as invoice payment  

Provide Support to non-nationals employees

  • Coordinate employee relocation with external vendors  
  • Coordinate Hong Kong work visas, initiate renewal process in a timely manner, liaise and reply to enquiries from the Immigration Department, if required 
  • Maintain company housing records, liaise with internal and external clients on home search, arrangement of tenancy agreement, move-in procedure, and renewal process  

Provide support on employee engagement

  • Coordinate employee activities and employee survey o Provide support on ad hoc projects as assigned 

Ideal Candidate

  • University Degree preferably in Human Resources or Business Administration.  
  • At least 5 years of relevant work experience in sizeable organization preferred.  
  • Proficient in communicating effectively with internal stakeholders and ability to deal with Ambiguity/Change.  
  • Interpersonal savvy, easy to approach and talk to, warm and pleasant. 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint; experience with Success Factors a plus. 
  • Computer literacy and conversant with labor regulations  
  • Detail oriented with a high level of accuracy, fast learner, outgoing and a team player with a “Can-do” attitude. 
  • Maintains all employee and departmental information in strict confidence.  
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Chinese. Experience in full spectrum of HR functions preferred. 
  • Have good understanding on HK employment ordinance and related ordinances.  
  • Proactive team member, positive thinking, approachable, good at problem solving abilities and handling multiple priorities.
