Manager, Signage & Design

Job Description

DFS is looking for a qualified Manager, Signage and Production to join our team. You will be responsible for all in-store and OOH signage assets which includes templates creation, print production, maintenance, managing all signage guidelines and signage templates to achieve our business goals. Your duties will also include liaising with local Visual Merchandising team to support in-store retail initiatives. 

As the Manager, Signage and Production, you should perform well under deadlines and be detail oriented. Ultimately, you should be able to oversee all signage related digital assets to ensure customer engagement, brand consistency and a positive customer experience. You will also be required to handle and support our VM corporate team on all signage design assets needed to support business needs. You will be responsible for establishing operational objectives and represent the VM corporate team in the creative, technical, production and management of all instore signages direction across multiple platforms.  Besides, work in conjunction with our design, technology, merchandising and marketing team to optimize content value, targeting and segmentation, and manage the overall content calendar. This role will be responsible for creating a uniform voice/message and work in partnership with multiple teams across the business.

The qualified candidate will work with various stakeholders across the organization to manage content delivery and design assets across all in-store and OOH touchpoints. We are seeking a driven, creative and passionate individual to fill this key role.

  • Design and produce graphic artwork for store signage’s and promotional events.
  • Direct all signage and production teams across all locations globally.
  • Management of all fashion brands signage and brand identities within the store, adhering to the provided guidelines from the brands
  • Create strategic signage concepts that reflect the retail climate to drive sales
  • Design brief of signage programs unique to each retail concept
  • Maintain a library of promotional signage and brand graphics
  • Monitor customer perceptions of graphic images and propose development opportunities
  • Create within our DFS stores an environment and ambience which not only encourage transactions, but positively influences sales and maximises dollar return from floor space
  • Liaise with the Merchandise teams to create and maintain the graphic messages globally which maximise the product characteristics through visual merchandising.
  • Liaise and coordinate with vendors, VM managers and merchants in the implementation of promotional brand messages and production. 
  • Establish signage and production training programs and staff development
  • Timely delivery and installation of signage messages

Key Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, or related field
  • 5+ years of progressively responsible and relevant marketing experience.
  • Perform well under deadlines while maintaining a highly organized and detail-oriented process.
  • Display initiative and resourcefulness in achieving goals but also comfortable brainstorming and sharing ideas in a team environment.
  • Excellent project and time management skills.
  • Able to adapt to changing priorities and work on multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Creative thinking, well-organized and attention to details
  • Experience in consumer goods, retail or travel retail industry preferred
  • Experience working in an international environment preferred
  • Experience in managing various stakeholders and project management
  • Strong understanding of content standards developed for digital application.
  • Knowledge and experience of operating a content management system
  • Ability to create and edit content in Adobe Creative Applications (InDesign, Illustrator & Photoshop)
  • Excellent knowledge and understanding of Typography, Layout Design and Way-Finding signages.
  • Highly organized, with strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritize and multi-task
  • Excellent oral communication skills; good written communication skills; interpersonal and follow-up skills
  • Able to support business on any graphics and/or design related needs
  • Open to travel and work flexible hours as required by the needs of the business
