Senior Design Manager (Based in Sanya, China)

Job Description

  • Responsible for all design management works, supervising design progress and quality
  • Control all design changes and confirmation,
  • Coordinate with all parties related design problems and internal and external relations
  • Control design fees payment progress
  • Improving design process and cooperate with Project Director to amend design management standards
  • Manage the project design schedule, budget, cost, quality to meet the project target
  • Support agreement & contract negotiation
  • Oversees facility projects for the brands. Project manages new openings, closing and maintenance of existing buildings and ensures objectives and deadlines are met.
  • Internal communication and coordination between departments, including global organization
  • Coordinate and liaise with business partners such as department stores and landlords
  • Provide relevant direction to external consultants (architects, MEP consultants, and lighting consultant)
  • Preparation of preliminary design plan and submittal design package for approval
  • Quotation review/cost negotiation
  • Quality control of project design
  • Coordination of handover to store ops team
  • Comprehensive opening report to project management skills

Key Requirements

  • Business level bilingual (Chinese-English) skill (verbal and written)
  • 8 -12 years of luxury retail store design project management
  • Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, (usage of CAD would be preferred, but not mandatory)
  • Comprehensive knowledge of production, construction and related legal requirements
  • Detail oriented with extreme accuracy & precision.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally in a team environment.
