Quantity Surveyor

Job Description

We are looking for an Quantity Surveyor (internal company title: Assistant Cost Manager) to join our Global Store Development team to support project cost management operations. The role is be based in Hong Kong and is intended to work closely with the Managers / Senior Managers of the team.

What you'll be doing?

Key Responsibilities
To support and assist Managers / Senior Managers in:
•    Global Capex monitoring and Control.
•    Managing and coordinating external QS consultants.
•    Working closely with Design, Construction, Brand and PMO team members to deliver the project on vision, on time and within budget.
•    Budgeting cost estimates, developing cost plans, and Value Engineering.
•    Supporting project financial control and reporting.
•    Processing payment recommendations, payment certificates approvals and coordinating the internal payment process with Finance team.
•    Developing project procurement strategies, and contract price or fee for negotiation.
•    Preparing Tender documents, Request for Quotation, and Request for Proposal.
•    Negotiating variation orders and final accounts with consultants, contractors and suppliers.
•    Managing and reviewing contract terms and conditions.
•    Working with in-house risk management and legal department to review contracts.
•    Evaluating insurance replacement and asset reinstatement obligation calculations.
•    Calculating global cashflow and capital forecast for reporting.
•    Finalizing Accounts and Cost analysis.
•    Analyzing cost data

Ideal Candidate

Key Requirements:
•    Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying.
•    Minimum of 2-3 years’ experience working within Client’s corporations or consultants.
•    Ability to work independently.
•    Proficient in both written & spoken Cantonese & English with strong communications and presentation skills.
