Job Description

We are seeking a self-motived and meticulous Planner to join our well-established team. With guidance from the Senior Planning Manager, you will work on stock forecast, ordering and allocation for one category of product. You will closely monitor the inventory flow to achieve the worldwide gross margin plans, and to maximize sales and profitability in your assigned location. 

Seasonal Sales Planning

  • Develop worldwide seasonal sales, margin and mix plans for one segment of a category based on strategic direction and financial guidelines
  • Develop location-specific sales ratify with region plans; tie to location profiles and assist plans
  • Develop monthly financial plans at department level for one segment of a category

Order Placement and Replenishment

  • Provide analysis necessary for the development of the monthly Open-to-Buy based on planning variances to the financial plans
  • Recommend quantities to place for fashion orders based on stock projection 
  • Review and update replenishment forecasts as required based on stock projection
  • Monitor Open-To-Buy weekly and make recommendations as appropriate
  • Communicate and follow up with vendors to support merchandise flow requirements

Inventory Management 

  • Supply the SKU Team with appropriate initialization information to activate distribution
  • Work with Distributors to ensure on-order needs matches with location sales needs 
  • Identify fast and slow sellers and develop action plan with team
  • Provide monthly analysis to report and implement discontinued SKU action plans 
  • Develop and recommend markdown strategy and manage markdown budgets 

Key Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree or above1-2 years’ experience in merchandising and/or planning with a major retailer
  • Experience in the luxury market and international business preferred
  • Able to create and maintain sophisticated Excel spreadsheets
  • Negotiation experience required
  • Strong interpersonal skills and be able to deliver high-level presentations
  • Proficient in both written and spoken English
