Payroll Manager

What you'll be doing?

 

The Payroll Manager is responsible for overseeing, managing, and administering payroll operations, payroll accounting, and payroll audits for U.S. employees. This role directs the daily activities of the payroll function and collaborates closely with Division HR, HRIS, Corporate Finance, Total Rewards (Compensation & Benefits), Corporate HR, and third-party vendors.

 

 

Essential job duties and responsibilities: 

  • Manage payroll data, payroll processing, payroll accounting, payroll audits, and account reconciliations.
  • Establish and maintain policies and procedures to ensure compliance with:
    • Governmental regulatory requirements
    • Internal and External audit standards 
    • Company reporting requirements
  • Ensure timely and accurate entry of employee data changes affecting payroll.
  • Oversee the integration and maintenance of internal and external systems, including HR Data, Time & Attendance, Payroll systems, and the General Ledger (e.g., SuccessFactors, SAP HR, Kronos, ADP Vantage, SAP Finance).
  • Ensure regular and special payroll runs (e.g., annual bonuses, merit increases, imputed income) are completed accurately and on time.
  • Drive process improvements and system enhancements within payroll operations.
  • Address exception payroll queries and prepare ad hoc, quarterly, and year-end statistical reports for Group Finance and auditors.
  • Prepare and approve payroll accounting for all pay runs, ensuring costs are accurately mapped to ledger accounts.
  • Manage accounting and reconciliation for payroll-related liability accounts, including PTO accruals, pension accruals, severance accruals, and payroll tax liabilities.
  • Oversee the relationship with third-party payroll providers, ensuring services are delivered accurately, timely, and in accordance with contractual terms.
  • Collaborate with Total Rewards to ensure expatriate payroll is set up correctly and tax implications are properly addressed.
  • Provide backup support for U.S. Rewards-related tasks

 

 

Ideal Candidate

  • Bachelor Degree preferred
  • More than 5 years of payroll and HR experience
  • Accounting background preferred
  • Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including advanced Excel skills
  • Knowledge of SuccessFactors, SAP HR, SAP Finance (FI), Kronos, and ADP Vantage preferred

Salary range: 

  • Per month: $90,000 - $130,000
