Technology Director, Regional Business Partnering

Job Description

DFS IT is undergoing a significant transformation to modernise ways of working, move to cloud, deploy modular tech architectures/platforms, drive automation, digitise employee/customer experiences and deliver insights from DFS’ data.

As we continue on this journey, we're looking to develop the next generation of bright, energetic and strategic tech leaders to oversee IT within one of our key regions, Europe & Middle East (EME).


As the Regional Technology Director for the Europe & Middle East (EME) region, you will:


  • Oversee regional technology strategy, project/solution delivery and IT operations, working in close partnership with the Global Technology and regional business leaderships teams
  • Be the single face of Global Technology within the region and the Voice of Technology for the regional business leadership
  • Work with senior leaders across both global and regional teams to establish a forward-thinking technology strategy and plan for the region, driving efficiency, innovation and simplification
  • Prioritise and partner with the Global Technology Product leaders to champion global product deployments in your region as well as provide regional input to global solutions and products
  • Lead and manage country-based (France, Italy, UAE) technology teams, who are your voice in those markets and work with you to deliver the technology plan for these locations and the region
  • Establish strong relationships with external partners (vendors/service providers) to augment your internal team and support delivery of regional projects and IT operations
  • Understand future trends, innovation and opportunities for the region (and beyond)
  • Directly partner with peers in the other regions (China, APAC & US, Hong Kong & Macau) to combine platforms, solutions and investments, where relevant
  • Establish relationships with IT leaders across other LVMH maisons within the region to share best practices and common solutions where it makes sense
  • Drive simplification and efficiencies with a growth mindset, focusing on continuous improvement and being data-driven
  • Align to Global Technology strategy by default and deviate from it (where it makes sense) by consultation and active decision. Where needed, you'll agree on the delivery of unique solutions, with an eye to scaling them for greater benefit around EME region and other regions across DFS
  • Ensure security and data privacy by design for the solutions deployed within your region


Key Requirements


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems (Masters/MBA is a plus)
  • 10 to 15 years of experience in IT management within a Regional or Global retailer 
  • Experience of working at global & regional level with senior management to contribute towards enterprise wide digital and technology strategy and delivery
  • Must have strong stakeholder management, business partnering and planning capability 
  • Sound knowledge and IT management experience of end-to-end technologies across Retail/Omnichannel businesses (POS, mobile, CRM/Salesforce, ERP/SAP, Data, Infrastructure, Cloud) 
  • Experience in delivery using AGILE: Scrum or Kanban (Agile certifications would be a plus)
  • Demand management – qualifying, shaping and sizing technology solution concepts and plans
  • Change management - Experience of bringing an organisation on a change journey
  • Can-do attitude and strong problem solving skills
  • Customer obsessed and results oriented
  • Vendor management - Proven track record managing third-party vendor relationships
  • Data and Analytical skills - developing data driven insights, analysis and advice
