Legal Manager - La Samaritaine

What you'll be doing?

Within the Legal Department, under the responsibility of the Vice-President Legal and Compliance Europe, the legal manager supports the operational teams (head office and stores) and ensures the proper application of the legal and regulatory provisions within his scope on all subjects. in distribution law, contracts, competition and consumption.

Main missions:
  • Drafting and negotiation of all types of commercial contracts (distribution contracts, partnerships, provision of services, etc.);
  • Dedicated contact person for the Purchasing Department within the framework of annual commercial negotiations with suppliers (CGV, annual conventions, etc.);
  • Operational and strategic advice for all types of projects in distribution law, contracts, competition and consumption;
  • Securing service launches and communication campaigns (priority searches; validation of communication media, etc.);
  • Implementation of internal procedures, models and legal training in your areas of intervention;
  • Monitoring of regulations related to environmental law;
  • Management of the department intern

Fixed-term position. To be filled from October 2024 to May 2025 (7 months).

Ideal Candidate

  • Graduation in Law supplemented by a postgraduate specialization in Business Law. LLM or Master in Business School is a plus
  • Significant experience (minimum 5/7 years of experience) acquired within a legal department, ideally in a group of international dimension in the distribution sector.
  • Solid knowledge of distribution law, and more generally of contract law and business law;
  • Autonomous and rigorous;
  • Team spirit;
  • Interpersonal skills, sense of customer service;
  • Spirit of synthesis, responsiveness and strong investment capacity;
  • Ability to demonstrate creativity, manage cross-functional projects and adapt to a dynamic environment;
  • Fluency in English and French (oral and written) essential.
