Internship - Internal Control F/H



As a member of the DFS Europe & Middle East Finance Department, you will work in a multicultural environment in close contact with the operational teams and the head office in Hong Kong. You will have a comprehensive overview of Internal Control missions and contribute to the development of two emblematic stores: Le Grand Magasin de La Samaritaine in Paris, which has reopened after 15 years of closure, and Fondaco Dei Tedeschi by DFS in Venice, open since 2016.

This internship, located in the heart of Paris, is available from July 2024 for a period of 6 months.


Your responsibilities:


  • You will be responsible for the compliance with cash-in rules and anti-money laundering due diligence, as well as monthly reporting on these operations to the Finance Department and Store Management.


  • You will take part in updating and harmonizing store operating procedures for France and Italy, in close collaboration with the operational staff responsible for the various processes concerned, in both stores (sales, collection, customer service, operations, stock & logistics, security).


  • You will take part in cross-functional audits of back office processes: interviews, testing, feedback to top management.


  • In a complex and changing environment, you may be called upon to work on any other one-off assignments within the Finance Department that may require your assistance. This internship will give you a comprehensive insight into the workings of a department store Finance Department.




  • Higher education (BAC +4/5) in Finance/Auditing, ideally with initial experience in external auditing.
  • Autonomous, organized and rigorous
  • Willingness to work in a dynamic, multicultural environment, good interpersonal skills, flexibility
  • Ability to summarize, analyze and write
  • Proficiency in the Office 365 suite. Knowledge of Power BI is a plus.
  • Fluent English
