Internship - Business Analyst F/H



As a member of the Finance Department of DFS Europe & Middle East (world leader in the sale of luxury goods to international travelers), you will work on the La Samaritaine store. You will be in daily contact with the store's operational teams and our head office teams in Hong Kong. This internship is very business-oriented and will give you an overview of the performance of the La Samaritaine department store.


Your missions:


1. Business follow-up:

  • Analysis of weekly and monthly sales by product category, customer base and KPIs for management.
  • Carry out additional analyses (brand productivity, performance of ephemeral events, etc.).
  • Preparation of presentations for management.


2. Financial reporting:

  • Participation in monthly closing (reconciliation of sales and variable costs)
  • Analysis of variations versus reference period at closing.
  • Budget/Forecast: Participation in the budget process and strategic plan, preparation of reports and recommendations for improvements.


3. Data :

  • Creation of Power BI reports (basket analysis, segmentation, exception reports, etc.).
  • Develop our reports using our data visualization tools (DAX, SQL).
  • Automate our tools for business case reviews (pop-ups, restaurants) and performance analysis.



Profile :


  • Higher education (BAC +4/5), ideally with initial experience in Finance or Business/Data Analyst.
  • Ability to think analytically and go beyond the numbers.
  • Dynamic, rigorous, curious, with a sense of initiative and able to work independently.
  • Solid command of Excel, first experience with a data visualization tool is a plus (Qlick Sense, Power BI, Tableau).
  • Willingness to work in a dynamic, multicultural environment.
  • Strong team spirit.
  • Interest in the luxury and retail sectors.
  • Fluent English.
