Job Description

Purpose and Objective of Position

DFS is embarking on its journey to expand the business in Hainan, Domestic Airports starting with Chongqing Jiangbei International Airport, eCommerce (Duty Free, Duty Paid, BuGou), with an eye on downtown shopping malls. To support the rapid retail expansion into China, DFS needs to set up a comprehensive business operation within China to support the domestic business, for both duty-paid and duty-free stores. An instrumental aspect of the set-up is to establish the required IT systems locally to support end-to-end business operations, integrate data into DFS existing IT systems, and leverage state-of art technology to improve customers experience, drive sales and digitization.

The ideal candidate that DFS is looking for, would be experienced, energetic, technology savvy with a “can do” spirit and work on a wide range of IT retail systems. Systems could be China ERP system implementation, new store setup or system operation, covering all DFS location across China. Quick learner of various store business functions and operations, great interpersonal relationship skills with the business users and management, understand what works and what doesn’t, working with global IT team(s) to recommend appropriate alternatives or solutions.

 

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities
-    Manage local ERP applications and all its integrations (including local applications like POS, 3PL, CRM etc. & also global corporate systems like SAP, PIM, etc.) for China 
-    Partner closely with Local China business teams and technology teams on value creations
-    Partner with corporate cross functional teams, like supply chain, finance, global tech teams to prioritize and launch key product initiatives 
-    Engage with central teams and Tech to understand synergy and complete scalable tech design for local China systems that can address China business needs
-    Product management experience in end-to-end execution of large-scale, complex, and globally scalable initiatives.
-    Support China new store setup following global SOP
-    Analysis of the root cause of retail system issues, like ERP, POS, CRM, integrations etc. 
-    Drive end to end resolutions on system issues working with global technology team and partners 
-    Communicate and collaborate with other IT teams in China and corporate teams
-    Respond to business quires and Assist in any other operational issues/ duties assigned

Key Requirements

Educational Requirements: Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or any related fields or related work experiences in retail industry.
Work Experience: Minimum 8 years with 2 years of managing stakeholders including C-suite executives, and projects
Critical knowledge & skills including tools, software applications, language, etc. 
•    Experience with retail systems, SAP, POS, ERP, CRM, WMS, 3PL, etc.
•    Comfortable working and communicating with people from different departments both Business and technical IT.
•    Good experiences on modern cloud technologies (Alibaba cloud).
•    Adaptable and able to follow through from design to implementation.
•    Ability to weigh business risks versus speed of delivery and managed expectations.
•    Strong skills in managing business and vendor relationships. 
•    Experience in working with high performance teams and understand the dynamics of teamwork in a culturally diverse Global technology environment.
•    Must have infrastructure as well as store/retail technologies knowledge e.g., high density Wi-Fi, POS, ERP, etc.
•    Strong English and Chinese languages are required – written and verbal.
