Manager, Finance Systems

Job Description

 

The DFS Technology team is seeking a Manager for the Finance Systems team – a global role, based in Singapore. This individual will be responsible for maximizing the value of key technologies used by DFS Finance teams at its corporate offices in Singapore and Hong Kong as well as all global store locations. As a part of the wider Corporate Technology Teams, they will be working collaboratively with business and IT partners to execute the Finance domain technology roadmap. The role will entail business analysis, solution design, implementation, and end-to-end service delivery and support. The candidate should possess a balance of technical depth, business acumen, and strong communication skills. Candidates should be independent, results-oriented, eager to learn, and with a passion for technology. 

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • Manage and oversee the entire Finance Systems in DFS Group, including product roadmap planning, project, enhancement, and BAU.
  • Regularly review existing product performance with the business product owner to ensure technology products meet business expectations in terms of quality, availability, and functionality.
  • Responsible for project execution related to Finance Systems or Finance processes, as Project Manager and able to work across other Technology domains. 
  • Manage and review integration approach and design between systems, applicable for an internal and external source.
  • Enforce best practices in the day-to-day operations, especially related to system changes or projects.
  • Develop and maintain healthy relationships with key business process owners to enhance the reputation of Global Technology as a trusted business partner.
  • Partner with product owners, tech leads, technology partners, and cross-functional teams to manage projects or enhancements to implement solutions that meet the needs of the enterprise.
  • Seek to identify new processes and procedures to better leverage the technology portfolio to deliver enhanced value to DFS.
  • Undertake business analysis to understand new business requirements and develop ideas to enhance existing systems to meet those requirements.
  • Enforce strong governance processes to manage enhancement demand, ensuring that DFS technology resources are deployed to deliver the best value to DFS.
  • Strong in third party vendor management to ensure vendor work is delivered with quality, timeline and budget are met.
  • Collaborate with business colleagues to develop and implement processes to improve governance of Finance IT Governance-related data throughout the product portfolio.
  • Manage internal and external resources on a day-to-day operations basis.

 

Key Requirements

 

 

  • Bachelor or higher degree in Computer Science, or IT.
  • At least 5+ years of relevant experience in Finance Systems such as SAP FICO. Experience in additional systems such as Consolidation & Planning (BPC), EDI Technology, S2P Systems, Treasury, System, and Expense Systems has added value.
  • At least 2+ years of relevant experience in managing a team.
  • Functional and Technical skillset in SAP Finance and Controlling is a must.
  • Experience with SAP BPC on Consolidation Reporting, and Planning is an added advantage.
  • Knowledge/Experience on S4/HANA is added advantage.
  • Knowledge/Experience in other Finance technologies such as Robotics Process Automation (RPA), expense management systems (example: SAP Concur, etc.), S2P systems (Coupa), TMS systems, and EDI solutions are added advantages.
  • Ability to provide architectural solutions & ownership of multiple independent changes and projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to validate and challenge user requirements to ensure that appropriate due diligence is placed on requirements.
  • Knowledge of architecture standards and industry best practices in SAP FICO.
  • Strong experience in integration between SAP MM-FI, SAP SD-FI, and other cross-functional areas/systems.
  • Project Management skills, including understanding & execution of different project methodologies.
  • Responsible for the maintenance of knowledge repository relating to systems: requirements, solution designs, and development and work practice-related documentation.
  • Assist in the development of the Finance IT Systems Roadmap.
  • Knowledge of Finance process and operations is good to have.


This role involves collaboration and management of overseas (remote) individuals and teams, and the candidate should be comfortable with this working arrangement.
