Manager, Design Multimedia

Job Description

Report to the Director of Global Creative & Content, to create quality multi-media designs and creative assets that are engaging and reflect the targeted positioning of DFS brand ethos while supporting overall marketing priorities. The designer will work on branding and creative projects that deliver a consistent DFS brand voice across online and offline platforms.

  • Working as part of the Brand & Creative Team to develop compelling concepts, brand identity & key visual language for brand and promotional campaigns
  • Developing design direction, graphics and templates for digital touchpoints and platforms including websites, e-newsletters/eDMs, social media, in-store digital screens
  • Conceptualize and execute high-end motion graphics, animations, and videos for online & offline touchpoints
  • Ability to lead and instruct creative & production agencies along with their creative team of art directors, videographers & editors to achieve our creative goals, maintaining our brand guidelines
  • Act as key member of Creative Team as the creative centre of excellence to safeguard the DFS brand, maintain high standards of innovation and creativity while supporting business objectives
  • Team up with project managers and content writers to oversee creative from beginning to end, while delivering projects on time and within budget 
  • Collaborate with other business functions including Visual Merchandising, Marketing Operations, Digital Marketing, Retail Marketing, Marketing Divisions 
  • Adaptation & implementation of campaigns and master video assets into various formats & sizes across various channels & touchpoints
  • Oversee production (retouching, proofs, printing, mockups, samples), while maintaining the highest possible standards for output
  • Screening & providing recommendations on talent, while helping with building a library of creative resources (vendors, contributors, etc.)

Key Requirements

  • Degree in Interactive, Multi-digital media, Web or Graphic design with 5 years+ of relevant experience0
  • Proven track-record as motion designer, video editor, art director or creative designer with experience in an international advertising agency / luxury retail environment preferred
  • Formal training or experience in motion graphics, animation, video & film editing, graphic design, digital design or related disciplines
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating your abilities in concepting and designing for digital platforms and digital customer touchpoints
  • Detail-oriented and accurate while being result-oriented: Ability to work quickly from concept creation to finished product
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Hands-on and collaborative mentality, with ability to take on feedback positively
  • Fluent in written and spoken English, Mandarin & Cantonese is a plus
  • Creative, self-motivated, driven and takes pride in ownership 
  • Able to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines
  • Enthusiastic, highly creative with the ability to create engaging designs that resonate with the luxury world traveler
  • Expert skills in design tools: After Effects, Final Cut, Cinema 4D, Adobe XD, Photoshop, Illustrator, In-Design
  • Skills in other tools: One Drive, Box, Jira, Confluence, Microsoft Suite
