Manager, Creative Content

Job Description

We are looking for a highly enthusiastic individual to join our in-house Branding & Creative team — working collaboratively on a multitude of campaigns and initiatives for a global multi-brand travel retailer.

The role of the (English) Creative Content Manager is to generate and curate the content of our online & offline marketing activities reflecting our DFS brand positioning as “Your Personal Guide To The World Of Luxury”.
    

  • Lead creative strategies, concepts, and editorial content that meet our business objectives.
  • Content planning for our DFS editorial calendar — merging marketing, merchandising & brand priorities.
  • Incorporate & infuse market/consumer insights and trends into our concepts — integrating art with commerce to ensure a balance of editorial and commercial value.
  • Collaborate closely with key stakeholders and cross-functional teams across marketing, merchandising, and operations from corporate to division, to ensure our content is envisioned & implemented successfully.
  • Create global & local customer-facing English content across all online & offline channels including personalization & segmentation opportunities:
    • Online Channels & Touchpoints — Website, EDM, Social Media, E-Commerce, Media Buy, Catalogs, Gift Guides, etc.
    • Offline Channels & Touchpoints — In-Store VM & Signage, In-Market Collaterals, Advertising, OOH, etc.
    • Content Types — Campaigns, Product & Category Editorial Trends & Stories, Travel Guides, Brand Ambassador Editorial & Interviews, Retail Experiences, Events & Promotions, Loyalty Program & DFS Signature Services, Press Release, etc.
  • Create internal-facing English content for the organization:
    • Content Types — Business Development Presentations, HR & Internal Communications, etc.
  • Maintaining a strong editorial tone of voice and consistency which reflect the company philosophy and brand positioning in cooperation with the respective internal & external stakeholders.
  • Proofreading, editing, fact checking and formatting content in various format and platforms.
  • Project managing all DFS marketing campaigns and being the gatekeeper of our English tone and voice within the Marketing Department.
  • Trafficking content across corporate and divisional teams, keeping the DFS Glossary and Translations Memory up to date.
  • Researching relevant key opinion leaders and influencers for partnership and editorial usage.
  • Conducting best practice and market research for internal usage.
  • Lead and evolve our team of in-house writers, linguists and translation agencies to achieve our goals & objectives.    

Key Requirements

  • Bachelor’s university degree or equivalent
  • Native English speaker is a MUST
  • 5–7+ years of experience and proven track-record with background in an advertising agency, luxury retail, or a fashion-related industry
  • Enthusiastic, entrepreneurial, highly creative & curious
  • Excellent written & spoken English communication skills
  • Simplified & Traditional Chinese writing and translation skills (a plus)
  • Conceptual thinker with excellent creative writing skills for luxury retail
  • Elevated visual aesthetic with a strong curatorial point-of-view
  • Authority to represent DFS as our brand guardian
  • Proficiency in Western digital & social media trends
  • Ability to prioritize & manage multiple projects within a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Ability to collaborate well within a global & multi-cultural team
