Logistics Coordinator

What you'll be doing?

The Logistics Coordinator responsibility is to coordinate and monitor Global freight operations, timely follow up and resolution of operations issues to ensure seamless cargo movement. Coordinator is to have close collaboration with Logistics Service Providers (LSP) and 4th Party Logistics to deliver improvements on services, response times and freight performances.  Coordinator is to ensure prompt communication with suppliers and internal stakeholders on freight exceptions.

 

  • Liaise with Regulatory Team & Warehouse Team to ensure effective inbound and outbound goods movement.
  • Monitor freight Logistics Service Providers (LSP) performance and ensure shipments are executed in the most cost-effective manner within the stipulated shipping window or arrival date.
  • Collaborate with freight Logistics Service Providers (LSP) and 4th Party Logistics to explore solutions on freight issues and resolve issues timely.
  • Provide guidance to supplier on required process and documentation for shipment arrangement.
  • Prepares and follow up on the necessary documents for shipment execution.
  • Raise shipping claims against LSP and follow up with divisions and LSP on claims resolutions.
  • Performs daily track and trace to ensure prompt update of shipment status.
  • Prompt communication to internal stakeholders on shipment status and reacts to route problems in a productive manner.
  • Audits freight invoices to ensure billings are made accurately against agreed rate cards; Timely processing of freight invoices for payment.
  • Ensures Inbound Delivery Details are generated in systems accurately and on-time for inbound shipments.

Ideal Candidate

  • Minimum Diploma and above in logistics, supply chain or relevant disciplines
  • Minimum 2 years ‘work experience in logistics operations
  • Self-motivated, deadline oriented
  • Collaborative, works well with team  
  • Must be an excellent communicator with an eye for detail.
  • Proactive and work with sense of urgency to resolve freight issues.
  • Demonstrate professional and polite demeanor with stakeholders.
  • Good organizational skills and constantly seeking to improve productivity.
  • Knowledge of freight rates and incoterms will be an advantage.
  • Proficient in English
  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel.
  • Knowledge of SAP will be an advantage.
