The Company’s core strength lies in its strategic brand partnerships, groundbreaking store and product development, superior assortments and a deep understanding of its targeted customer. The vision of exceptional people delivering exceptional product are two pillars of the operating philosophy of this successful company. The leadership team is international and brings expertise from a variety of backgrounds.

DFS is proud of the strong internal culture it has built over its more than 60 years. Its people are naturally curious, embracing of change, and highly collaborative. Integrity, humanity and impeccable work ethic run through the company’s DNA. One of the keys to the Company’s continued success is the philosophy of valuing its people and investing substantial resources in training and development. The staff engagement rates are at a record high compared to the industry average and have been improving steadily for the past few years. DFS employees feel valued, empowered, and energized by the current transformation endeavors.

In 2016 DFS opened its first European T Galleria, Fondaco dei Tedeschi, in the very heart of Venice, few steps from Rialto Bridge. Thanks to its fascinating restoration and cross-cultural organization, Fondaco dei Tedeschi provided a “destination in the destination” from the very beginning: our Italian crew guide and inspire visitors through a holistic experience, making contemporary the long tradition of this historical building that dates to XIII century.

Fondaco dei Tedeschi offers local and Italian brands as well as international ones, distributed on four floors, from ground floor to third. We host almost 400 brands, belonging to different categories: Food&Gift, Beauty, Watches & Jewellery, Accessories and Fashion. Italian brands cover almost 60% of our product mix, where the partnership with Venetian craftmanship embodies our being a part of Venice itself. Their artisanal art resonates throughout the court and in our windows.

Fondaco dei Tedeschi is a fascinating building with a unique offer, but it’s our People that bring Fondaco to live everyday. Our women, our men, bring Fondaco to life, through their attitudes, values and competencies, moving together as one unique being.

DFS Group is part of LVMH ecosystem and fully shares its values and core belief, People Make the Difference. LVMH strives to ensure a long-term development of each of its 75 Maisons in keeping with their identity, their heritage and their expertise.

Being part of LVMH means being continuously inspired through our heritage, our creativity, and our sense of the collective; it means being challenged to continually raise the standards of excellence we hold ourselves to; it means being connected to one of the world’s most creative and innovative communities; and it also means being supported through an inclusive and diverse workplace, where all voices are being heard, and where entrepreneurial spirit can flourish
