Legal Internship (6 months)

The Legal and Compliance Department (“LCD”) Legal Intern will provide critical day-to-day legal operations and project management support.  This Intern will work with the global LCD team in Hong Kong and will have the following duties and responsibilities:
 
1.    Support the department in maintaining efficient filing / managing the contract management systems / legal operations workflows
2.    Coordinate with external legal teams, regulatory agencies and internal stakeholders
3.    Assist in the administration of the contract management systems and policies relating to legal operations and compliance
4.    Maintain and update contract templates and company policies in multiple jurisdictions
5.    Handle a full spectrum of company secretarial matters for approx. 20 entities including:
a.    preparation of minutes, resolutions, annual return, etc.
b.    managing and organizing document execution and filings
c.    changing in directorships

 

Preferred requirements:
1.    Bachelor’s degree of law or paralegal certificate preferred
2.    Past paralegal, contract management and/or legal operation experience a plus
3.    Knowledge of legal databases, contract management tool and business processes a plus
4.    Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple assignments simultaneously
5.    Team player with excellent communication skills
6.    Strong knowledge of legal principles and terminology
7.    Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)
8.    Proficiency in English and Chinese (Traditional and Simplified)
