Junior Legal Counsel

What you'll be doing?

We are looking for a Junior Legal Counsel to join our Legal, Compliance and Data Protection Department in DFS. Reporting to General Counsel, the role will support the Legal, Data Protection and Ethics & Compliance functions in the team to ensure compliance with laws and regulations globally and LVMH Group's requirements. 

 

Key Responsibilities

 

1.    Legal 

  • Prepare and review legal documents, including commercial and retail agreements.
  • Maintain corporate entity documentation (board resolutions, annual filings, AGMs, etc.) and manage DFS Intellectual Property portfolio.
  • Oversee the management of a Contract Management System (CMS) tool.
  • Assist in resolving claims and disputes, and coordinate with outside counsels.

 

2.    Data Protection

  • Support the DPO team in monitoring compliance with the PDPO, PIPL and other relevant data protection laws and engage with internal stakeholders to provide advice on data protection matters.

 

3.    Ethics & Compliance

  • Manage cases reported through whistleblowing hotline.
  • Support annual LVMH audits and ERICA campaigns.
  • Partner with the Learning & Development team to develop and launch compliance training.
  • Support the implementation and enhancement of compliance program as needed.

Ideal Candidate

  • Law Degree from reputable law school, Hong Kong Qualified solicitor is a plus.
  • 2+ years’ PQE experience in an international law firm or multi-national corporation will be preferable.
  • Excellent verbal, and written communication skills in English and Chinese.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills and ability to interact with a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Team player and able to work with people at all levels across the organisation.
  • Well organised and good at planning and managing his/her time as well as others. Ability to work flexibly and on multiple tasks.
