POSITION TITLE

Inventory Control Associate

 

PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVE OF POSITION

The Inventory Control Associate works to support the Controlling Manager to ensure system integrity and achieve reduction in stock losses for all locations. He/she is directly involved in the physical counts and in the investigation on variances

 

 

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 

Plan and execute physical stock count of store inventory

Investigation of stock discrepancies and reporting across the store and warehouse

Reconciliation of store inventory counts

Support store operations and replenishment & allocation team on day to day inventory discrepancies, including negative stocks management, corrections and reporting

Stock count variance analysis and periodic meeting with Team Leader (Sales) and Sales Department Manager

Execute all inventory control reporting

Review and action outstanding Inter-departmental transfers

Systems inventory adjustments for stock write offs/ins, return to vendor shipments or returns to warehouses

Support Controlling Manager in sales analysis

 

 

KEY REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor degree in Economics, Finance, Accounting or similar

  • Strong Microsoft PC based applications – Word, Excel ) and Powerpoint required

  • Good command of the English language and excellent communication skills

  • Strong analytical, organizational skills and commercial mindset

  • Ability to analyse a business both statistically and conceptually.  Strong quantitative skills.

  • Ability to format analytical works into presentation forms 

  • High degree of integrity and confidentiality 

  • Ability to work in a fast-moving entrepreneurial environment 

  • Accuracy and attention to detail
