Intern, Regional Controller (24 weeks)

We are looking for Intern, Regional Controller to take up 24-week journey, which will cover Asia South and other regional markets in APAC. This role will sit in our global finance controllership & consolidation team and work with regional stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

Month end closing of books for financial and management reporting
Assist with daily bank reconciliation process
Preparation of journal entries for accurate financial reporting, and variance analysis vs Budget/Forecast
Preparation of Balance Sheet Reconciliations
Following up on outstanding issues and issues resolution
Preparation of standard operating procedures where required
To work closely with Commercial team and address group queries
Ensure that working papers, schedules, correspondences, and other documentation meet quality assurance tests and are in line with DFS best practices
Review SKU warning report
Participate in ad hoc projects as assigned

The intern will also be able to gain a deeper understanding of:

End to end accounting process and internal controls
Analytical skills in analysing actual vs planned performance
Better communication skills by liaising with various stakeholders within DFS and external customers
Having Hands-on experience in using financial systems (SAP), data server (Microstrategy), cloud reconciliation (Blackline)
Be able to apply accounting standards and advise internal stakeholders on month-end and accounting matters
Development of analytical skills with forward thinking ability
