Intern, Planning

The Intern is supporting our Merchandising and Planning teams in their daily business and takes part in projects to improve how the category works together. He/she will work in one of our brand teams and will support the management of sales, order & Inventory. 

 

Responsibilities:

  • PO Maintenance & Shipment Tracking
    • Create and manage Purchase Orders (POs) in the system
    • Communicate with vendors regarding PO confirmations, changes, and delivery schedules. 
    • Maintain accurate PO records and update tracking information
    • Monitor and track shipments to ensure on-time delivery in line with inventory priorities.  
    • Resolve any shipment discrepancies or delays with vendors
  • Inventory Management
    • Support the team in managing logistics processes, including stock allocation and replenishment
    • Coordinate with warehouses, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure smooth inventory flow
    • Handle communication with stakeholders (vendors, logistics, merchandising) regarding stock availability and delivery updates
    • Manage reverse logistics process, including returns, internally and externally with vendor
  • Reporting & Analysis
    • Prepare weekly reports on sales, inventory levels, and shipment tracking
    • Generate ad-hoc reports for sales performance, stock analysis, and market trends
    • Assist in analyzing data to support decision-making for inventory and order management
  • Order Management
    • Maintain and update order records in the system
    • Ensure all order-related information (quantities, delivery dates, cancellations) is accurately reflected
    • Follow up with vendors and internal teams on order modifications or issues
  • Market Preparation & Buying Support
    • Assist the team in market trend analysis
    • Prepare reports to support buying decisions

 

Requirements:

  • College or university degree preferred 
  • Previous merchandising and/or planning experience preferred
  • Proficient in MS Excel, MS Word and PowerPoint
  • Excellent at problem solving and handling multiple priorities
  • Detail-oriented and analytical
  • Action oriented
  • Interpersonal savvy
