DFS Human Resources Internship Program is a 24-week program that provides students with an opportunity to experience the luxury travel retail business and learn about the corporate human resources functions before completing their university studies.
 

The internship will be taken from Jan 2025 to Jun 2025

 

What you’ll do:

The incumbent will partner the business to provide support in the areas of recruitment, learning and development, Employee Experience & HR services and drive quality outcomes for the business. 

 

Corporate HR

HRBP:

• Engage business units and provide support on any daily on-going HR related enquiries (e.g. leave enquiries, payroll related matters, benefits etc). 

• Support HR Manager in preparation of People matters (e.g. Townhalls, Talent Review, Staff Movements). 

• Support the HR department in processing of payments for various HR related matters (e.g. invoices, agency related invoices). 

Employee Experience: 

• Promote a positive employee experience by ensuring smooth execution on defined operations processes, including pre-boarding and onboarding, new hire orientation, off-boarding process.

• Communicate and work closely with the Global HR Shared Services team to ensure that HRIS updates and payroll matters are performed in a compliant, accurate and timely manner.

• Reviewing employee engagement initiatives organize and execute employee engagement activities (e.g Hari Raya, International Women’s Day, Long Service Award celebrations etc). 

 

Learning & Development:

• Co-ordinate various training programs, from both external and internal trainers

• Assist in room set-up and arrangement

• Prepare training materials

• Prepare correspondence, reports, and presentation materials

• Maintain and organize training records

 

Singapore Division HR

• Support with HR operations and provide assistance for any daily on-going HR related enquiries (e.g. Letter creation, leave enquiries, payroll related matters, benefits etc). 

• Support HR Manager in preparation of People matters (e.g. Townhalls, Talent Review, Staff Movements).

 

What you'll learn:

  • Hands on experience in managing Retail and Corporate Functions
  • Develop problem solving skills 
  • Work with various stakeholders internally and externally
