Intern, Employee Experience & Engagement

We are currently seeking an intern to join our Employee Experience and Engagement team in HR, which consists of the Internal Communications, Employee Experience, and Customer Experience functions. We are looking for a passionate and driven individual who is organized, has good writing skills for content creation, and is enthusiastic about executing events and initiatives.
Success will be achieved through your ability to cultivate a broad network throughout the organization and to execute events and projects that drive employee engagement in the organization.
Primary Job Responsibilities and Duties:
• Generate content for internal channels, including drafting intranet stories, email communications, and Teams communications
• Assist in enhancing store communication protocols
• Support the coordination and execution of internal events, including townhalls, CSR activities, employee engagement initiatives, celebration events, and DEI (diversity, equity and inclusion) programs
• Collaborate with our Webmaster to keep intranet pages up-to-date with fresh content
Position Requirements:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, Hospitality or related field
Work Experience: With exposure to corporate communications or employee engagement functions, or experience working in the retail industry
Tools/Resources: Proficiency in MS Microsoft computer applications (Excel, Word, Powerpoint) and email skills required
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
• Accuracy and attention to detail
• Exceptional writing skills and strong interpersonal skills
• Experience in graphic design or video production is an advantage
• Able to effectively operate in a global and multicultural environment and across a variety of position levels
• Project management skills. Able to define processes necessary to get things done, know how to organize people and activities, and can identify opportunities for synergy and integration
• Problem solving skills. Ability to work with complex issues and use logic to solve difficult problems with effective solutions
• High degree of integrity and confidentiality with a keen sense of business acumen
• Native/Fluent English communication skills, both oral and written, are essential
