We are currently searching for a Flightlline Support Assistant to work Full-Time for our stores at LAX AIrport - Tom Bradley International Terminal. This is an hourly, non-exempt, union position starting at $23.00 per hour.
The Role:
As the Flightline Support Assistant, you will work together with other DFS personnel to deliver consistently high levels of service to both external and internal customers by processing and delivering products to the airline gates; and assisting with receiving, stocking, and delivering products to all DFS store locations in the airport.
Responsibilities
- Processing and delivering customer orders to the departure gates.
- Moving merchandise and supplies between stores and stockroom locations.
- Restocking selling and storage areas in accordance with US Customs regulations and Airport/ DFS policies and procedures.
- Pack, prepare, check and hand out customer orders in accordance with the flight schedule.
- Dispense pre-ordered merchandise at collection counters accurately and efficiently
- Deliver stock from the shop floor to gate hold rooms within terminal or across terminals in a timely manner.
- Assist with stock transfers between locations or terminals
Ideal Candidate
- 1-2 years of experience in warehouse, logistics or related industry; experience in customer service is a plus
- High energy level, have a positive approach to job and group responsibilities.
- Able to work independently with minimal supervision
- Able to perform repetitive assembly and loading work in a fast-paced work environment
- Able to perform defined physical activities (lifting, bending, carrying, pushing, pulling, etc.) in a timely manner
- Lifting of objects up to 50 lbs. occasionally, and/or up to 30 pounds frequently and/or up to 10 pounds constantly. Lifting and carrying for several yards unassisted.
- Ability to work flexible hours / shifts, including weekends, nights, and holidays. Able to work overtime hours when necessary.
- Secondary language speaking is beneficial, but not required.
