Finance Manager, Business Support (FP&A Focused)

What you'll be doing?


Provide business analysis and decision support for the finance team and be part of a Global Commercial Finance team managing business performance with a focus on managing, monitoring, controlling budget for business supporting functions at both global and divisional level and executing plans in accordance with companywide strategy. Business supporting functions in particular include Marketing and Digital/eCommerce where the company continues to invest and grow in order to serve customers better. You will also assist in reviewing the business plans and activities to drive business performance, optimize business processes and support sound decision making.

 


•    Become a key business partner with functional teams to monitor and control business plan of business support functions, review actual, budget and forecast in close collaboration with corporate, divisions and all finance functional teams
•    Collaborate with functional teams to develop financial models that support our business initiatives which are aimed at driving digital sales, enhancing our loyalty program and improving profitability, etc
•    Assess the financial viability of the business proposals, evaluate the effectiveness of business initiatives via financial and non-financial KPIs and provide insights and recommendations to the business.
•    Manage and monitor all expenditures under Corporate & Divisional teams, including but not limited to:
-    Marketing (Corporate and Divisional) 
-    Client Services (Corporate and Divisional)
-    Internal and Corporate Communications, CSR
-    E-commerce and Digital Operations
•    Document and refine SOP (Standard Operating Procedures) for functional team; ensure the SOP is well communicated to Corporate and Divisional level, compliance to company policies, accounting treatments, systems and audit standards
•    Identify and recommend any opportunities for cost saving, driving efficiency and sharing the best practice across the divisions
•    Support Finance Director in preparation of monthly financial review, budget and forecast
•    Work with related functions to streamline and automate reports where possible and enhance communication.
•    Review division month end financials and ensure all variances are adequately explained
•    Standardize division business case analysis / template and reporting tool
•    Perform any other ad hoc duties requested by your manager
 

Ideal Candidate

 

  • Bachelor degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Management or related field    

  • 5 to 7 years related work experience as a FP&A manager in a sizable commercial organisation.    

  • CPA or CA licenses are desired

  • Strong Microsoft PC based applications – Word, Excel (including use of macros and database management) and Powerpoint required.  Microsoft Strategy and Power BI knowledge a plus.

  • Knowledge of SAP and COUPA is preferable

  • Good command of the English language and excellent communication skills

  • Strong analytical, organizational skills and commercial mindset

  • Ability to analyse a business both statistically and conceptually.  Strong quantitative skills.

  • Ability to format analytical works into presentation forms 

  • High degree of integrity and confidentiality with a keen sense of business/financial acumen

  • Ability to work under stringent deadlines, fast-moving entrepreneurial environment and manage multiple priorities effectively

  • Challenge status quo / change agent

  • Ability to mentor and develop junior analysts

  • Accuracy and attention to detail
