Director, Business Development

Job Description

Reporting to the Executive Vice President, Strategy and Business Development, this role will be responsible for leading due diligence, qualitative and quantitative assessment for new areas of business development both organic and inorganic (e.g. new stores and partnerships). Manage projects end-to-end from conducting market analysis, structuring of projects, gaining approval and developing business growth plan.


  • Manage robust global pipeline of organic and inorganic business growth opportunities 
  • Conduct thorough research to provide context for potential opportunities
  • Plan resources effectively to prioritize opportunities and execute in high quality manner
  • Proactively maintain relationships and business leads
  • Work with team members and lead financial and quantitative analysis of opportunities, including modeling, valuation and scenario simulations 
  • Develop structured, quantitatively supported presentations relating to potential projects to engage relevant stakeholders 
  • Source market intelligence available to the team, including monitoring of news and other sources of information
  • Develop strong relationships with internal stakeholders (store development, merchandising, operations, etc.) to drive realization of new opportunities
  • Active participation in the delivery of on-time, high quality reports for the EVP of Strategy & Business Development, CEO and other senior management 

Key Requirements

  • Bachelor or equivalent required
  • Minimum 6 years of experience
  • Experience in business development, expansion or growth project management
  • Professional services experience favorable
  • Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills
  • Strong communicator who is comfortable working with a range of external and internal stakeholders
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, foster strong relationships and ability to influence others
